mario an 11% or even 5% death rate is very high. Normal annual flu mortality rates ae much lower than that I believe. I believe the great Spanish flu epidemic killed 10-20% of those infected. It is also probable the COVID 19 mortality rates are much lower than flu, but apparently contagion is higher so it may infect more people and lead to more deaths.

"Influenza spreads around the world in yearly outbreaks, resulting in about three to five million cases of severe illness and about 290,000 to 650,000 deaths".

That's an 11% mortality rate. In Wuan the mortality rate is 5% and the worst in China.

Get the perspective.

Covid 19 is different because the Boomers want it so. Utter rubbish in the media.

Learn from it mcsean, no-one likes to make losses. But, when you take a bad one. Have a really good think about how you could have done things diffeently. Do some reading. There is an enormous amount of free info out there. You won't necessarily get it back by 'revenge' trading TLW, but if you're keen to learn, you can learn to get it back plus some. Sitting back and doing nothing is often a very bad way of doing things.

People managing TLW expressed an interest in selling the company for the right price! Think that sends a very wrong signal to the banks and investors. Fundamentally it's a solid business but very badly managed, hence a complete loss of confidence. If they don't come up with some reassuring statements soon, banks will call in the loans (breach of banking covenants etc...) and it'll be over. Very, very sad as the company has valuable assets, unfortunately assets at fire sale prices won't leave anything to shareholders.

Definitely fear here and you know what the Maestro says...

A new CEO will be good news here as a plan will be in place ....unless the surname is Biggs or Green.

Beginning to feel Covid 19 just Boomers causing mayhem as they are getting older. Less deadly than normal flue. Markets will rally as sooooo much cash waiting and those in control will be pouring fuel onto the fires. Watch for capitulation and look at charts for entry.

SentimentRules,

Was your 21 prediction some time ago based on dilution $40 Brent or both ?

...

Both to be fair. Maybe more about dilution but obviously virus accelerated crude drop. But expected dilution to be main factor of speed to 21p at that time

Probably not even needs dilution for 21 now

One thing for sure they need to raise money, BOD can't wait til the brown stuff hits the fan. Banks breathing down their neck

Increasingly looking like asset sale (fire sale) or dilution/combination of the two.

This share has fallen from nigh on £16> 36p.

The BOD will want to stay at the trough, they have no shares what does that tell you.

Mr 12% took a punt just like others, catching a falling knife.

Shorts increasing

Over indebted and a virus/ recession, A PERFECT STORM!
