Marina-1: Looks like 'Stena Forth' been at the well location the last two days with 2 standby vessels in attendance. Would expect spud is next news... -3.6158 -81.0135 on MarineTraffic.

Local press was showing objections by locals to the well, but difficult they hinder offshore ops.

I was expressing genuine concern for those celebrating leaving the EU in a crowded place where viruses and misinformation may spread.

Would you really wish pestilence and death on others simply because they hold a different view to that that you hold Leoneo?

Was looking at this in more detail myself. Risk does appear to be somewhat 'off' for the moment. US500 falling. I'm also assuming it's related to the coronavirus outbreak. 1918/19 Spanish flu pandemic is estimated to have killed 10-20% of those infected and resulted in the deaths of 3-5% of the earths Human population (may be an explosion in mouse numbers in China I guess if demand for 3 squeaks was reduced). So far, from what I can see (based on unreliable numbers from the press), the death rate from the current outbreak is more likely 3% of those infected or less. It still has plenty of potential to be very serious and in my view cannot be contained so there is a very strong liklihood it will be coming to a living room near you in the next few weeks.

Brexit will be fine, we can get close to the US (apart from our transatlantic differences on tech taxes, Iran, Huawei and Harry Dunn).

It seems likely that the Corona virus mayn't be the big one. None the less it will impact economically and is possibly the catalyst for the expected economic slowdown. The long term oil price is well under pressure withe Brent like to fall another 10%. Russia say they can bare as little as $25 a barrel. The Saudis are brad even at $40. With fracking in US in crisis again it seems likely that the US which had only just become self sufficient in oil will return to world markets soon which should help underpin the price of oil. That may be too low still for many explorers. Ireland has joined France and New Zealand and some smaller countries in deciding not issue further exploration licenses. Probably says as much about the future demand as any green issues
