09/1/2019 23:45 | I put this up because it shows the dangers of sharing resources and how things could work back on a company letting a community use your facilities, | subsurface
09/1/2019 22:13 | Another big well coming up for ExxonMobil. Haimara-1 is located 19 miles (31 kilometers) east of the Pluma-1 discovery in the southeast Stabroek Block. Actually it's right on the border with Suriname, which lies to the east, AND just down-dip from CGX's block. (CGX almost went bankrupt after drilling a duster a few kms up-dip from where Exxon are now drilling)(Kosmos share price tanked drilling a duster just over the border in Suriname recently) What a charmed life Exxon are living down there! | xxnjr1
09/1/2019 11:07 | About ECO - but relevant to Guyana. Finncap research out today 2019 Top Picks - It is always darkest just before dawn and we are starting to feel that – disaster aside (eg no-deal Brexit followed by a Labour Government) – after a proper correction in Q4 2018 the market will soon start to find a level from which the best stocks will again emerge. On this basis, we have chosen ten of our favourite ideas for 2019. Our top pick for 2019 in the Oil sector is Eco Atlantic. Investors learnt the hard way in 2018 that exploration is a high-risk business. However, if you’re going to own any frontier exploration play, probably best one that sits next door to >5Bboe of discoveries in the most exciting exploration province since the pre-salt Santos basin in Brazil. Following a strategic alliance and farm-out, Eco is cashed up and ready to start drilling this acreage. The first well on the 250mmbbl Jethro-Lobe prospect, worth an estimated 18p/sh risked (88p/shunrisked), is slated to start drilling in Q2. Eco’s Orinduik block also contains an extension of XOM’s Hammerhead discovery, which is a candidate for the second drilling slot. We have a risked-NAV for Eco of 96p. However, given the attractiveness of its acreage, a bid for the company cannot be ruled out. Under this scenario, we believe a large IOC could justify paying north of 300p/sh. | ifthecapfits

07/1/2019 16:37 | Looks like the coup has been sorted out, An Interesting read on Guyana ECO give 44% COS Holzman said the partners may be in a position in January or February to nominate the second well on Orinduik, although he agreed it is most likely they would drill on Aurituk next, with both wells possibly drilled back-to-back. | subsurface
07/1/2019 08:13 | Bizarre opening price action. Shares opened up nearly 5%. Coups are obviously viewed as a good thing these days!? | frazboy

06/1/2019 03:58 | Ghana Blocks Applications , First round to be decided by January 21st and awards due 31st August 2019 ExxonMobil, British Petroleum, Tullow Ghana Limited, Total, ENI Ghana, Vitol, Kosmos Energy, Aker Energy and the China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC). The rest are Cairn Energy, Qata Petroleum, the Global Petroleum Group, First E&P, Sasol, Equinor and the Harmony Oil and Gas Corporation. I wonder if Tullow have found Partners? | subsurface
05/1/2019 16:22 | Exxons guidance for their block is very conservative. Some of the FPSO's may get bigger. 1st FPSO is 120K. Some of the later ones may be closer to 200K, rather than 150K to 180K. There are also multiple/material additional targets to drill, on top of the +5bn Exxon have already found. Some of those exxon targets, to the west, may be on hold due to Venezuela issue. Clearly the source rock is very prolific. Tullow's task is to understand the migration pathways, sediment deposition and trapping geometries. Having Total on board ought to be positive in that respect. | xxnjr1
05/1/2019 04:07 | Mcsean Angus said in the last Tullow presentation, for a first drill they would expect a 15% COS however with the recent finds it helps to derisk the play to the 20 percents COS, ECO said that the partners were unanimous on the drill selection target. Jethro Lobe. | subsurface
04/1/2019 15:49 | ExxonMobil estimates there is potential for at least five floating, production storage and offloading vessels (FPSO) on the Stabroek Block producing more than 750,000 barrels of oil per day by 2025. Interesting, does this mean we have a good chance in Guyana? | mcsean2164
03/1/2019 14:17 | Starting to pick up now | knowing
03/1/2019 13:19 | Yep should catch PMO this could be a possible take over folks. | datait
03/1/2019 13:15 | Playing catch up now | knowing
02/1/2019 18:10 | My view is Total should pay the tax for Tullow as they hold more than enough deferred consideration. | mariopeter
02/1/2019 15:23 | I was reading in the African press that Uganda have loaned money against future oil production and also the next elections are in 2023 so as time goes on it will add pressure to get the pipeline and refinery up and running. Maybe Tullow will pay some Tax so the project can move on to FID then take the case to court to try to reclaim it. | subsurface |
