"We will save billions of pounds from our EU divorce payment as well as a similar amount from Civil Service and Govt costs."

My understanding is that it's meant to cover pension liabilities. Actually, I was wrong only 7 billion is pensions. The biggest cost is things that Britain agreed to pay....

Good breakdown here:

Guyana's a 'game changer' for TLW says its CEO. Keep an eye on TLW's partner ECO. If Guyana's game changer for TLW then it's a stellar transformation for ECO

I see from Noble's latest Fleet Status Report that an anonymous client has one slot on a drillship. South America IS quite a big place, but you never know this may be TLW's rig for Guyana, as the timing fits.

You mean there are 600 working for the company in the UK? What on earth do they all do, assuming they are on the pay roll, and not sub-contractors.

I often wondered what a chairperson does so I googled it
A chairman is an executive elected by a company's board of directors that is responsible for presiding over board or committee meetings. The chairman ensures that meetings run smoothly and remain orderly, and works at achieving a consensus in board decisions.
we could do that!

Don't know what to make of DT SS. DT is all but invisible. Does DT do anything? Haven't a clue! Maybe just a soft appointee so as not to rock the boat? Useful Bank of England connections. Drax business model seems to have relied on government handouts. Having said that, all credit to her for the recent share purchase.

With a bit a luck someone from Tullow will tune in, as imo the first hour of Tullow's recent CMD event left a lot to be desired. The company could learn something from the way Hess do it. Hess webcasts are usually pretty slick, in a matter of fact way. No waffle. Just get straight to the point. Usually a decent Q&A at the end, with insightful and helpful answers.

Find a new CEO. Get rid of Angus (diabolical offshore exploration record). Shrink the portfolio geographically to W.Afr heartlands + Uganda. Flog Kenya. Get back into Norway. Relocate to a less expensive HQ. Cancel the recent share awards. All directors take a pay cut, requisite to the value destruction over last 5 yrs, and the $5bn of write offs.
