"So every Uber driver I had either had invested or was thinking about it."
Yeah - only after you had selfishly messed with their heads!

"I had people asking me genuinely which coin to put their children's university funds into. That's not good. "I didn't follow up with them, but I hope they didn't," Mr Halford-Thompson added.
If you believe that, you'll believe anything!

Never understood bitcoin. Never went there myself. One of the odds things about it, is apparently, the amount of energy required to keep the platforms running.

Interesting on the border dispute with Argentina I flagged it up last week as a possible problem.

Initiative Q is an attempt by ex-PayPal guys to create a new payment system instead of payment cards that were designed in the 1950s. The system uses its own currency, the Q, and to get people to start using the system once it's ready they are allocating Qs for free to people that sign up now (the amount drops as more people join - so better to join early). Signing up is free and they only ask for your name and an email address. There's nothing to lose but if this payment system becomes a world leading payment method your Qs can be worth a lot. If you missed getting bitcoin seven years ago, you wouldn't want to miss this.

Here is my invite link: hxxps://initiativeq.com/invite/GDnaMKaUC

This link will stop working once I’m out of invites. Let me know after you registered, because I need to verify you on my end.

Yes McCracken starting to wonder if I will live long enough,!I hope that Tullow management and major shareholders spend some time reflecting on passed events and get the debt down and start adding some value to the company.
Also read up on China Zero dollar tourists and Infrastructure projects to see how crafty they are in business,

That article doesn't say whether, or not, Tullow are in agreement about the $169m. If not, may drag on.....

Not downbeat! Just living in a parallel universe to the universe being proffered by the company :) New tax issues arising in Uganda isn't entirely unexpected. I just wish the company would under promise and over deliver. Not the other way round. Having said that, I'm surprised the CEO and Angus are still there!

You’re sounding a bit downbeat XX! Tullow do seem to be holding up better than the other geared plays (Enquest and PMO) and better than CNE which seems to be spiralling down with greater momentum every day... only the majors are holding up reasonably well and over the last few sessions even they’ve suffered.

I’ve added quite a few Tullow (and a few Cairn but more for fun) today so would be disappointed if that tax number comes in as forecast

The current inept management do seem to have lost their way, as they live in cloud cuckoo land. The finance guy is good, but his hands are tied somewhat. The CEO and Angus drone on about how marvellous they are, and how smart they are, but the reality is rather different. Dull as ditchwater Capitol Markets Day. Can't find any oil offshore. All recent acquisitions have unravelled. $5bn of write offs. Seadrill fiasco. Instead of resigning - they get a massive tranche of cheap share options! And now the promised $250m is reduced by $169m, according to SS!
