It's not quite all 'cash'. Couple of milestones to meet and $700m is ring fenced for the JV development costs.

$200 million in cash consisting of $100 million on completion of the transaction and $50 million at both Final Investment Decision and First Oil.

$700 million in deferred consideration which will be used by Tullow to fund the company’s share of the costs of the upstream development project and the associated export pipeline project.

According to half yearly result released on 26/7/17, TLW sold, subject to government agreement, 21.57% of its 33.33 % interest in Uganda's oil field to Total and Cinook for $900m. This is expected to be completed by end of the year.so a lot is going on for TLW.

What makes tlw so interesting now is the shorts / takeover situation / complete ok to press on with ten.Questions I am asking start with will we see an orderly or chaotic closure re the short positions. I suspect they will try for the former and get the latter because of the other 2 items i refer to. Topping up Monday and sitting back to watch but imo this will be taken over very soon now while so is still in the relative doldrums. My guess circa 330 to 350p.

Oilretire its a binding decision. No right of appeal. A unanimous decision by 5 judges though is so compelling an appeal would be pointless.

Lots of coverage. No appeal either by the looks of it. Great news

We’ll abide by terms of judgement
The statement, which was signed by the two agents also saw the two countries reiterating their mutual commitment to abide by the terms of the judgement.
“Cote d’Ivoire and Ghana seize the opportunity to reiterate the mutual commitment of the two countries to abide by the terms of this decision from the Special Chamber, and to fully collaborate for its implementation. Cote d’Ivoire and Ghana accept the decision, in accordance with the Statute of ITLOS.”
The two countries also “affirmed their strong will to work together to strengthen and intensify their brotherly relationships of cooperation and good neighbourliness.”
“On the joint behalf of the Presidents and the Peoples of the Republic of Cote d’Ivoire and the Republic of Ghana, I would like to express our gratitude to the Special Chamber of the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea for the courteous attention with which the proceedings were conducted,” the statement added.

10 to 20 percent I would say. It's going to really pressure the shorts though when you factor in the macro environment, it's probably on the way to 300p

"Tullow will now work with the government of Ghana to put in place the necessary permits to allow the restart of development drilling in the TEN fields," the London-based oil firm said in a statement.

"Tullow expects to resume drilling around the end of the year which will allow production from the TEN fields to start to increase towards the FPSO (floating production storage) design capacity of 80,000 bpd," it said.

The company, a major oil operator in Ghana said it would work with both countries following the ruling. "While the TEN fields have performed well during the period of the drilling moratorium, we can now restart work on the additional drilling planned as part of the TEN fields' plan of development and take the fields towards their full potential."

Tullow Oil Ghana boss Charles Darku told reporters in the capital Accra the ruling would remove "doubt anyone had about the boundary, because that is clear now. Anyone that wants to work around investing in that area should see their way clear."

TEN´s output will be maintained at 50,000 barrels a day until the end of the year, he said.
