30/9/2021 09:19 | The 'regulator' is toothless. A bit of a nasty taste after this - and as has been said above - you would expect this on AIM..... | skinny
30/9/2021 09:15 | The old game, was say for doing a raise for a share trading at £1, for £200m total raise. Monday bookbuild, bring people inside, they say ok were in at an expected raise price of 95p, get £100m like that. Tuesday, some *cough* person has leaked proposed price. Selling happens, market now at 95p a share. Remaining people you need will now only buy at a discount at 90p a share.. original people of course get new price. Losers are all the shareholders who get extra dilution. Winners are those who got the leak and sold to buy back later. Still amazed it's happened on something as large as this. Wouldn't expect anything from regulator about as useful as a chocolate teapot for stuff like this. | dhoult12
30/9/2021 08:43 | dhouti Thats no surprise or the mms wouldnt employ rampers on this web site et al. A friend of mine (hes very wealthy - you are unlikely to have heard of him but his company was quite well known) told me that quite some time ago he was given the nod of a takeover. He told me that he bought rather more shares than he could afford - I didnt ask how many but it must have been eye watering. Sure enough the take over went ahead and his shares went from around 30p to 70p. His broker phoned him to ask who gave him the nod. Being a barrister in his day job he of course denied any knowledge. His broker replied ' well it doesnt matter but you bought that many we bought a lot too'. So its not too difficult to see how it gets around. It just seems more brazen these days By the way He did get a visit from FSA Again he of course denied doing anything untoward. They told him it wasnt him they were after but the person who supplied him with the inside info | scruff1
30/9/2021 08:13 | Scruff, I used to many moons ago work at one of the larger brokers. This sort of nonsense used to happen on AIM, where someone got loud down the pub and moved the share on little volume. Never seen it on something this large though. Shocking and yet amazing it's been done on a FTSE 250. | dhoult12
30/9/2021 08:06 | 'without hurting the share price' Depends how you look at it. 230 a week or so ago. There will be a lot held throughout feeling a tad shafted | scruff1
30/9/2021 08:00 | n0rbie You will be able to transfer to an ISA annoying as it is - at least until this govt makes a balls o that as well | scruff1
30/9/2021 07:53 | In the past they’ve announced a price and had a month long window to subscribe - via traditional brokers in any wrapper you like. This form of raise without a price I am generally not keen on as it’s a punt. It’s good for the company as they can raise very quickly without hurting the share price as market is closed throughout. Not so good for investors who want to buy in a tax efficient wrapper. But hey - at least they allowed us in via PB at least. Otherwise it would have been a completely closed deal. | n0rbie
30/9/2021 07:45 | I received my full allocation, Primary bid might not be perfect but it does give small investor the opportunity to participate | wingrove4
30/9/2021 07:38 | well that was quick. Just received an email from PB. Subscription successful 204p. Been an expensive day so far. Lets hope the term 'investing' is applicable !! | scruff1
30/9/2021 07:38 | Amusing all the crooks about. Lawyers, accountants, book builders, nomad and co would have been aware of this for week or so... Just around the same time as share price decline. Comical. | dhoult12
30/9/2021 07:27 | Well the good side is I would imagine a buy today is a fairly safe bet after the hullabaloo of the placing and the PB gamblers have sold up and moved on - early next week. And its a decent dividend and will probably increase so imo its about as secure as you can get in this game - last words and all that !! | scruff1
30/9/2021 07:16 | Not into a SIPP in drawdown. | skinny
30/9/2021 07:15 | Skinny You dont have to put them in your wrapper do you? You can transfer them at some point | scruff1
30/9/2021 07:13 | Totally agree, primary bid just gives outsiders a opportunity for a quick buck. | igoe104
30/9/2021 07:09 | I must admit, I'm not overly impressed by this method of issue - for me - and I assume many others - I hold shares such as BBOX in a tax free wrapper - so cannot readily participate. | skinny
30/9/2021 07:05 | Just picked up 3k @ just under 206. I would expect(hope) thats safe. Will find out Monday | scruff1
30/9/2021 07:00 | finance Thats a fair point. I thought I had read it wrong when it said it was closing at 7.30. I dont think the RNS came out til about 5.30. That does smell a bit. The other thing I think smells a bit is that we were querying the drop over a week ago so it was out there in quite a few people's domain. I suppose we have always known the market is bent though. I hope I get my 5K worth cos I can only see this going one way - especially as it was oversubscribed so quickly - although with such a short window it makes me wonder if there were any actually not already spoken for - so Im not holding my breath. I will see where the price goes at 8.0 and probably buy on there too | scruff1
30/9/2021 06:59 | This is disgusting should have been offered to existing shareholders I for one would have bought moreShafting for us all | tnt99

30/9/2021 06:41 | Placing at 204 | b1nky
