"gifted" - a general term for favouring themselves, for example, did the BoD* have to put up five times the cash value to secure 15p shares, no. ___(preempting a pedantic correction I am using the acronym BoD here interchangeably with "certain director and their connected parties" taken from recent RNS)___(preempting a pedantic correction "five times" means circa five times)

Moving on - solid results, US crude at $72 and a top up for me at 19p. Looks a great risk / reward from here.

WWICK, you say they gifted, is this true? I thought they had to pay for them like everyone else? Bruce did not enhance his % holding of the company, in fact he suffered greater dilution than myself after the market gifted me some 15p share post placing.

Don't get me wrong personally this raise was not good for me financially at all, but I will judge the company on it moves in the next few months now we are in a solid position, using any funds raised to grow the the value that way.

This afternoon is going to be an excellent opportunity to raise these points and let the management explain themselves.

ww et al absolutely agree.
wtgr 'anyone' can get a deeply discounted placing off the ground - and I don't see whether dilution or not, should impact the fact that they got the debts paid off by a discounted share placing hence, should not receive the benefit for this part of their kpi's?

Good that a few people will be seeking clarification on this today!

Mark, you mean "they have been diluted along with everyone else but were able to mitigate this disproportionately by gifting themselves 15p shares" let us be honest here.

Bones, spot on ! I hope more than one investor raises the incentive plan this evening and the means by which incentives are achieved. This would be more palatable if all share holders were treated equitably, but evidently they are not. _ _ _ Two points for the meeting include 1) why the capital raise was at such a low price (as proven by the over subscription) 2) will the BoD forego the part of their bonus that has been secured by selling grandma's silver.

It is definately a good question for this afternoon. A new set of performance rated options would be appropriate. However my understanding is the options are in shares so they have been diluted along with everyone else. A good talking point post presentation.

Placing was pretty unpopular all round. Even with more than one of the named top-holders. Today’s share price reaction doesn’t really make Joe Shareholder any happier on top of that too. Good buying opportunity but irritating forvus holders

so basically they made a lot less than last year despite higher oil? these taxes are huuuuge...

Very volatile indeed. Been in the 18’s to buy and the 20’s to sell. Aready. Plenty of jostling I feel. IMO mm’s not quite sure where to place this atm jostling or not. WH target not dented s/p. I can’t find anything whatsoever negative in the results. Nothing.

Dunderheed, the thing that irks me about the placing to pay the debt is that the directors' options were predicated on the CLN debts being repaid before redemption date.I don't know if there was a clause in those but for them now to cash in by effectively having the shareholders repay the debts via a deeply discounted placing and save them the hassle sits badly with me, notwithstanding that the extra funds can also be used to accelerate drilling.As usual, the directors are in the trough first.

As a long term TRIN holder that is the best set of results I have read. Normally there is a little kicker somewhere that was not expected. First set of results that look solid throughout. The big weeks are the coming ones with T&T budger on the 1st, maybe there is a bit of jostling for possitions for that.

Yes but as you can see from these results they had to be paid at some point and it isn't obvious they would have had the cash to do so - imho!
