05/10/2017 14:55 | 4 near term events to sustain the momentum, all due final quarter. 1. broker note 2. November update 3. tax regime implementation 4. Sale proceeds for non core assets I fail to see the rationale for trading it at the current 18-19p level. Surely one to buy and hold, even the chart is heading into no mans land. | astorcourt
05/10/2017 14:46 | I don't have a price target Mark. I'll sell when the story has run its course -when things looked price in. The new tax system is supposed to encourage investment. We haven't got details yet. But how will it change TRIN? Lets see if Trinity can now find a suitable partner for TGAL. It ought to be more attractive if we get the tax reform. Theyve had approaches Bruce says. Apparently, TGAL is just waiting BOD sign off on a field plan to get those reserves booked? I think it's just getting interesting and big news won't come in a regular scheduled update. | whiskeyinthejar
05/10/2017 13:56 | Yes certainly holding for that WITJ. The good news is some of the LTH who missed 18p last time are taking their chance today. LSE quite a few LTH and STH took their chance at 18p but there still appears to be very good appetite for their shares. We could still close at new nights by the end of today. Not selling a share myself, find it staggering a LTH can have all this time to formulate a valuation for the company after all the years of pain yet they focus on the share price instead.... | mark10101
05/10/2017 11:54 | The tax changes alone could double the share price imo. SPT is 18% on land, 25% on new fields and 33% in shallow water when oil is sold at prices over $50. The tax is higher offshore than onshore because wells are more productive (economic). So we know Trinitys major potential is to ramp up offshore. Onshore Trinidad wells don't produce much, but Trinity can drill 300-800 bopd wells offshore and has 700 MM barrels of STOIIP. It has a funded route to 5,000 bopd in 2-3 years. This is why Trinity should be trading at a premium to other oil Trinidad companies. They don't have Galeota Ridge to develop. Anyway, getting rid of SPT is potentially a huge deal particularly for Trinity with its offshore focus. Anyone looking to aquire Trin should be ready to pay much more IMO. | whiskeyinthejar
05/10/2017 11:54 | think we will push over 18.5 by close of business Trinity even tweeted the shares mag tip of triple the current shareprice | spellbrook
05/10/2017 10:59 | Popped its head over 18.5p, now for the first close over that level | ny boy
05/10/2017 10:40 | Traders will always come and go. The investment case was there for all to see post reconstruction and still remains. A consolidation above 20 would be perfect | the big fella
05/10/2017 10:40 | wait until the 100k, 250k, 500k buys start to arrive | spellbrook
05/10/2017 10:40 | Seriously good now, a close at or over this point and tomorrow cold be a blast...I am wondering if there is a news about to be released the MMs know about. Chart wise this is Apollo 20. | squiresquire
05/10/2017 10:38 | The question has to be why would you sell before the new brokers note and the likely tax reform coming later in the year? | mark10101
05/10/2017 10:36 | Worth repeating though as a good message :-) Better than hearing 8p tomorrow....... | mark10101
05/10/2017 10:26 | Oops IT issues guys sorry for multiple post! | shrewdmole
05/10/2017 10:25 | It's obvious the buyer is still there as the large blocks on the bid. They must see some serious upside. Still only £50m mkt cap. I was conservatively hoping for 30p but could see this going way beyond in next few weeks and months as the drilling goes on. Plus the potential for tax reform which should increase profitability from every barrel pumped! S | shrewdmole

05/10/2017 10:10 | MMs after stock and not disclosing large buy orders this morning | nafafa
05/10/2017 10:02 | We may get a spike into the high 20’s where I am sure people will sell into but for me I am hoping we get into the 20,s and form a base there for hopefully better news into the end of year early next. | mark10101
05/10/2017 09:57 | Maybe "Woodford" will want some TRIN in his FUND..lol...gla | spellbrook
05/10/2017 09:52 | I like orderly | ny boy
05/10/2017 09:51 | Mark...I agree. This all seems orderly | wingspan
05/10/2017 09:42 | I think we will do it today, people buying above 18p atm, not huge volume so like I said earlier this looks to be part of the rerate and not a frenzied spike. | mark10101
05/10/2017 09:18 | Bang on 18.5p, not enough fuel to get thru this time, the bulls will have another go later or tomorrow GLA | ny boy
05/10/2017 09:11 | Nice steady rise this week, the volume is good but not indicating a frenzied top to me. It does look like we could make it into the 20’s this week which is where we should be at least IMHO. | mark10101 |
