03/10/2017 20:51 | LAW I think 60p is achievable by this time next year, it would still not put TRIN into worrying over valuation territory. We need a few things to go our way to get there with oil staying sensible. | mark10101
03/10/2017 20:30 | TRIN is going to be massive. Compare with CERP (LGO previously) In Q2 2017 CERP produced average 327 bopd with target of achieving sales volumes of around 550 bopd by the end of 2017. Market cap 31m. TRIN produces over 2600 bopd, soon to be 3000 bopd as stated in last weeks results. Market cap only 45m at 16p So TRIN should be worth 6 times more than CERP say 180m. Over 60p a share. Even if you halved that target it's over 30p. This is why analysts have short term conservative valuations of 38p. | lw425

03/10/2017 19:53 | Big fella If you've got it you don't shout about it.... I don't care what anyone's holding is tbh as long as my holding is doing well. There is so much more to come here, behind the scenes is a bunfight for stock as the serious players try and get a decent holding. Tomorrow will open down as the MM aren't on the bid but the private bids will pop up gradually and mr 200k will be there. S | shrewdmole

03/10/2017 16:49 | Proactive... Trinity Exploration & Production welcomes “good news” Trinidad tax plans Share 15:41 03 Oct 2017 "On the face of it this announcement looks like good news," Bruce Dingwall said. oil and gas operations Tax changes could boost the bottom line economics and the company's valuation Trinity Exploration & Production PLC (LON:TRIN) has highlighted that its business may be boosted by new tax proposals in Trinidad. The company, in a stock market statement, highlighted passages from Monday’s budget statement which specifically discusses changes to the regime. “We have started a review of the energy tax regime in order to simplify and rationalise the terms of both Production licences and Production Sharing contracts. The main objectives of this reform are to encourage investment in the energy sector and raise the Government's revenue-take,” the government said. It noted that the government seeks to make supplemental petroleum taxes responsive to underlying profitability, rather than oil prices, and it intends to extend the supplemental tax to cover gas. The plan is also to reconcile and simplify fiscal regimes for exploration and production sharing systems, and it wants to standardise royalty rates on crude oil, condensate and gas. Bruce Dingwall, Trinity chief executive, said: "This could prove to be an extremely important change for the company in terms of bottom line economics and company valuation. “The government is aligned with Trinity in seeking to increase oil production and once the terms of the changes to SPT are clear we will then be in a position to quantify what the effect on the company will be. “ "On the face of it this announcement looks like good news and we continue to work hard on building on the strong first half and look forward to updating the market further in due course." | spellbrook
