I think a few weeks from now will be a good time for a brokers note to hit, looks like strength is still with the recent rise and would be nice to be in the 15’s when the BN hits.

Note due in next few weeks (we were told at the meeting) - not days...just to be clear

Price looking very strong, hardly surprising but with a decent brokers note in the next few days we should also get further comment from Malcy after the note.

Hoping we'll hear more about the O&G reforms in the budget on Monday.

Either way there has been a bit of profit taking today. There will always be some happy to bag 10%.

Well its misleading then isn't it. All the system does is look at whether a trade appears above or below the mid price. So the market makers can make it look as though there's lots of sells by moving the spread.

Only as they are reported, I suspect it is not the true picture give the current spread and the reported prices.

How are you determining which are the sells and which are the buys?

8 sells to 1 buy, seem to be holding up well.

FFP, wasn't it the purchase of Bayfield Energy in 2013 (?) that did for TRIN, the usual story of loading up with debt to pay top prices and then oil collapsed the following year.

Can you blame one man for the industrywide calamity that was the oil price break of 2014?

My take on things, absolutely yes...

Should Trin join the full market and if so when? Oh and I suppose why?

In the short term we expect a second broker rating and a further quarterly update (November). I would not want to be out of TRIN over the next couple of months.

FFP I think about it a lot. David Segel certainly gains my praise as a long term shareholder.

As I read Bruce formed Trin. If that is the case and he is now pulling it's socks up, why did he let it hit rock bottom before he did that?

We are all singing his praises, should we perhaps ask the question as to how he allowed it to get into that precarious position?

Just a thought.

North Sea veteran leads Trinidad firm back into profit

He started Trinity after running Aberdeen-based Venture Production, which Centrica bought for £1.3 billion in 2009.
