Post on lse re cash balance RE: DividendsThis was mentioned at the AGM, for one, they have a number of government contracts and they are notoriously slow at paying. They said the cash cushion is needed to pay contractors monthly when the company may be paid at longer periods, but saying that the chairman said he is in favour of future dividends at both AGMs - now that the company is doing well. I think the dividend will be double next year add that to the potential share price growth from a great pe ratio it's a good safe bet for long and short term investment. I am still buying when I can, still time to get in before divi cut off as well. This was from last Agm . They did have some late payments in last year accounts .

Anyone going to the AGM next month?
I'd like to go myself but I'll be away that week. You'll be able to ask about the dividend and anything else there.
There is a possibility of a trading update, although the company haven't put one out in recent years

The Company confirms that its AGM is to be held at 11.00am on 5 September 2018 at The Dock, Tobacco Quay, Wapping Lane, London E1W 2SF.

What I like about this thread is that it does show the individual trades (buy or sells). Why cant other threads do that?

..Or they could use the money for an employee bonus scheme. If they can attract more high calabre employees they will make even more money. The barrier to growth is the numbers it can recruit.

Perhaps do both - shareholder bonus and employee bonus.

Right, for a company that looks like a good investment in every other respect, such disregard for shareholder returns is concerning. A buyback program or a significant dividend increase would help a lot.

They could probably pay 6/7 p and still increase the cash pile !!!!Sicknote

I think the divi yield is too low too given recent earnings and the cash pile. A proper yield might shift the price up a bit. They could easily afford 4p last year.

looking at the graph rises and falls within the bigger rise, if the bigger rise continues then we're at the bottom of one of the smaller falls within the bigger rise (if you see what i mean). So probably a good time to buy some more for small upswing within the bigger upswing.

impvesta: well spotted - I was looking for reason for rise and jumped to conclusions. However, it is a clue to how well TRiad are doing because they both go after the same goverment contracts. I say it was "good news" that Parity was doing well because it backs up my thesis (from our results) that triad are having a blindlingly good year.

Not sure a comparison with Parity is too helpful netcurtains. The news you are quoting is from an RNS on 18th July so I'm not sure how you can equate today's rise to that news. And is Parity really comparable anyway? It has borrowings and doesn't pay a dividend.
