14/11/2019 16:27 | Hasn't so much information from this firm been vague and full of doublespeak? If so then what the hell does it matter when they release information? Surely people aren't still taking what emanates from them as gospel? You can't base investment decisions on information that you doubt the credibility of. I've been applying a large dose of salt to their comments for a long time. | dave2608
14/11/2019 15:36 | We've only got Blonde's word they haven't started shipping yet. I'm convinced the AA must have placed an order, otherwise how are they able to feature, offer and fulfill the SB option, on the their main website page? As for the other contracts, if they haven't shipped I suspect we'll get another PW or a curtain call. | knowbodyyouno
14/11/2019 14:48 | agreed, the later the better. | dc2
14/11/2019 14:25 | I'm hoping they release any information as late as possible because they may then be able to give us some more definitive information on these illusive large insurance contracts which have not started shipping yet. If they have just started shipping or about to start shipping then I'd rather know this in a later update than have an earlier update which tells me they are simply not shipping yet. | trakm8fan
14/11/2019 08:40 | Historically, it seems that H1 results are released around now (although we know early Dec has been penciled in for these (Sept RNS)), but the actual trading update is released alongside notification of H1 results. The results then seem to follow around a month later. Last year seems to have been the exception where both the trading update (PW) and H1 results were reported in the same RNS. Given how close we are to early Dec, we should either expect the trading update to be released alongside the results again. Or, some form of notification of the results with the TU, next week (providing we get through Friday unscathed). All in my opinion of course. | knowbodyyouno
13/11/2019 16:24 | Ripped The F ... ? | trakm8fan
13/11/2019 16:20 | So I should have just RTFMed, glad somebody (or knowbody) reads this stuff. | dc2
13/11/2019 15:56 | Says early Dec, in one of the recent RNS. | knowbodyyouno
13/11/2019 14:10 | Just checked the RNS stream and last year's mid November half year results were a one-off IMO with most being released late Nov (and usually with notice). Given other things were put back to their proper time I suspect this will also be the case here (unless they have to warn). | dc2
13/11/2019 11:46 | It’s worth noting that redundancy is often used as a cover for what technically amounts to dismissal. It can help small companies avoid employment law challenges - particularly following recent changes to employment tribunal costs. What I would also say is, one review on indeed from an obviously disgruntled employee isn’t much to go on. It’s possible, of course, but we don’t really know whether there have been redundancies. | knowbodyyouno
13/11/2019 11:01 | It really isn't surprising that black boxes suffer from accuracy issues. If they are using GPS for location and speed, then the fact that a lot are installed without a decent profile to the GPS signal makes it incredibly weak and with that comes a lot of drift and sporadic output. Think about how your phone suffers to give you good navigation when it's not stuck nicely on a air vent mount or flat on the seat next to you. Personally I would never buy a policy with one - you can find the same cheaper without one if you shop around. | emptycup
13/11/2019 10:55 | Redundancy is bad news. No company I know has ever wanted to publicly state a round of redundancies as it gives a bad public view. Natural attrition is far better but I do accept that you don't necessarily keep the good employees. IMO, if Trakm8 announced redundancies I would assume this is their final attempt to keep afloat. | dc2
13/11/2019 10:32 | Up until a couple of months or so ago, every bit of news was good news to Blonde, so the criticism seems a little kettle, pot, black. | knowbodyyouno
13/11/2019 10:29 | Mail article about Telematics insurance | knowbodyyouno
13/11/2019 10:24 | You believe it to be bad news. I do not. If a company is not making a profit how can redundances be bad news. Not making a profit is bad news. Trimming the work force is good news if you ask me and shows sensible management given the money available to pay salaries and whatever else. Let's not forget the company has been around for a while and could have some staff that have been there forever. You cant sack people like this so a little cull of dead wood is good news if you ask me. | trakm8fan
13/11/2019 08:13 | Yes - this is true and probably part of the cost savings plan. Interestingly, several jobs were advertised by Trak on Linkedin 3 days ago. | knowbodyyouno
13/11/2019 08:04 | Isn't redundances good news as it will lower the payroll. I've read various comments here suggesting the business needs to down size so they can generate a profit from their revenues. Redundances surely achieves that. | trakm8fan
13/11/2019 07:44 | Dismal reading. That was back in July so, if true, not the best anecdotal evidence of a steady ship. Says the guy is still an employee. Oct review is better; albeit from a lowly assembly operative. | knowbodyyouno
12/11/2019 18:48 | It wouldn't make sense, no. Their Twitter account is also pretty active, with pictures of various execs - including one of the directors - Sean Morris - presenting at various conferences / summits, in the last few days. | knowbodyyouno
12/11/2019 17:29 | The point is if they were about to run out of money a la Blonde prediction then surely they would not recruit anyone. So they must have at least enough money to keep the lights on for a little while longer. | trakm8fan |
