AA has 3.3m members!

Imagine if they decide to start offering our telematics solutions to either their Breakdown Assistance (like we do for Green Flag) or on their Car Insurance (like we do for Direct Line). It's perfect normal to take that step forward as they trust us with their entire fleet and they also opened up a new B2B channel to all their clients for us recently. Why not their retail customers who might want the extra protection, similar to Green Flag's Alert Me product?

Our total devices size is 5% of their memberships. Imagine if a small fraction of them would adopt black boxes, what that would mean for Trakm8. It could pair well with them starting to offer a black-box insurance offering for young drivers for starters.

So many possibilities for Trakm8, still early in the game and board can't focus on too many things but 5 years down the road this will be a big player in the market (unless a bid comes in for a hefty premium first)

I am going to do a large and final top up tomorrow. Have the confidence now that this will be in the 3's before the end of the year....

One potential issue to dwell on from my side: as they already provide the hardware for Green Flag's Alert me black box (not sure about software as it's only 35£ p.a)
would that create an issue for Trakm8 long-term?

It will have 2 customers who are rivals and supply the same hardware to both of them. But if our partnership with AA provides us info to translate error codes more easily then Green Flag would also benefit from that.

Unless we don't provide software at all for Green Flag and just the device so that's all good. I think that's the case anyway as with 35£ there's only enough ££ for hardware, subscription is usually 12.99£/month. (

I suggest you watch the last 2 video presentations from the board. That says way more than anything you read here.

blueeyes13 - Nice to see you here. I've been a holder here since 2011. With respect I'm a great advocate of researching the company by reading the reports and accounts with my own critical eye. Let's just say that negative comments made by certain individuals are complete and utter tripe, and I'd strongly question the motives behind those comments.

However, each investor should come to their own conclusions.

I've stated my investment case on numerous occasions here and on my blog if you're interested.

Good luck whatever you decide.

As part of my research on companies, I like to look at contrarian views if they exist. I'm sure I'm about to ask the same question and request help here others will have asked already but it will save me time having to check a lot of previous posts. Re the TW comments since Jan this year and claims of lack of free cash flow, shareholder value erosion from previous acquisitions, misrepresentation of debt levels in RNSs, etc what are the replies to these accusations? Please refer me to any specific post numbers if all been answered comprehensively previously as I'm sure it has.I apologise in advance as I appreciate this will be a sensitive subject for some holders on here. I'm not au fait with all the history of this from Jan 2016 and would like to sincerely thank anyone who can assist me in this matter. Kind regards

It's also very good that our revenues are also driven from software sales as well. RM is projected to do 1m of profit from 3m of sales this year. And that was before recent contracts announced.

There are no raw material costs rising on that one as it's pure software. Helps diversify the bottom line a bit. As you stated before as well, raw materials might go up but we manufacture everything at home. Our competitors building things outside will also see their manufacturing costs rising.

Support will now build. RM is involved in a major industry project. TrakM8's board have been honest about FX issues but state they are still on track for the year.

Factoring in project revenue and being on target they might be improving on their forecast or delivering strongly on it by year end.

A £6m EBITDA at a fair 20 x earning Will but us at £120m Market Cap or 350p a share. This will be the last few days of seeing the share price start with a "1" so going to top up and back up what I have always supported. A great, well run, innovative company that develops and sells what the market neeeds.

Another experimental project RouteMonkey is involved in, building the first EV refridgerated truck. If this goes well it has tremendous potential for the chilled food industry to switch to EVs.

"“If it proves as successful as we expect, it will have far-reaching applications in refrigerated vehicles and beyond.”

Bissell explains that Sunamp is inverting its Heat Batteries (conventionally used in transport heating and air conditioning) to deliver a new cold storage technology capable of offering a better power to weight ratio than existing alternatives, as well as greater efficiency than Li-Ion batteries.

The result, he says, should be increased vehicle payload as a result of reining back on the traction battery pack.

Meanwhile, Route Monkey’s EVOS software will be used to optimise the EV range by calculating factors such as route topography and scheduling deliveries of heavier loads at the beginning of the day.

The firm also intends to demonstrate its system’s capabilities to react to traffic congestion, factor in weather conditions, and – in case of emergency - schedule top-up charges.

The £38 million EV initiative is funded by OLEV (Office for Low Emission Vehicles) and Innovate UK, the UK’s innovation agency."
