Well done all who are still in this. I seem to have exited at the worst possible moment, but I suppose have an indirect holding through investments in Mr Mills and his various vehicles. Reminds me a bit of Royal Mail and their covid rally. Anyway, its been a great run for everyone here. It probably won't get much better with all the bond volatility in the market.

I hope so

Starting buying a year ago at 218 and added every 20 percent drop equivalent cash amounts each time all the way down to 109

Was beginning to despair had put them in the sock drawer

This latest volatility has been a boon but will now start looking to liquidate some cash if it can climb above 250 in the coming days

Good luck all you holders long may this continue

TCap thrive on volatility and we have that in spades . The company has been in an exclusive 5 year bear market when all else was rising . It is the ultimate contra trend stock , and now at a 52 week high . Tell me any other companies at a 52 week high in this bear market ? There aren't many . The company is still very cheap and looks a sitting duck . It might not stay quoted for long so enjoy it while you can .

All good points in recent posts. From what I've been told Liquidnet will go from strength to strength and presumably assist with technical knowledge in the group. I'm pleased I kept adding at the lower prices

THeir debt is at fixed interest rates, but cash isn't. At the end of June, they had cash of £788m and expect another £100m - "we have identified around £100 million of cash that will be generated or freed up by the end of 2023 and used to repay debt"

So a good buffer against rising interest rates

The only way you could structure would be an indefinite license at a nominal sum for the data to new co; however you can't then just multiply by a technology stock PE as new co existence it's totally dependent on tp icap volumes rather than seperate entity= a lot more risk

Play this one out, the market data that is being sold is generated internally by the firm.
If they are a seperate entity where's their source of data? And whom are they paying for it as currently it's free by just looking at the financial statements.

Anyone have a view on/ understanding of the impact of higher interest rates on the broking industry? We've had a decade of low and stable interest rates, and I'm wondering if that could have had a 'significant' impact on the TCAP performance over that time?

Holy Cow Brucie5 , the LT ugly duckling turning into a swan ???? I am glad I averaged down after paying too much for TCAP . Now almost at my 177p breakeven level . It still looks good value after today's figures . Hopefully a lot further to go . One of these shares that had its own 5 year bear market when everything else was going up . So a major counter trend share .

Up 2.3% when the FTSE 250 is down .99%. Looks to me like £2 now well within reach.
Yet someone appears not to like this, to judge by the red tickers?
Ah, well.
