03/8/2021 10:49 | Sorry, did not see the post below. Anyway, the market reaction is not positive. Is the consensus really that the spud is two weeks away?? | herman007
03/8/2021 10:46 | Safety certification and testing once assembled will likely take a week. | ngms27
03/8/2021 10:34 | Have you seen the latest fb post? The rig is assembled on site. I certainly hope they will spud this week, but who knows…. | herman007
03/8/2021 10:10 | Drilling complete mid October? What period for testing (provided they can get their act together and test straight away)? Due to the Chinook debacle, little spec interest until nearer test results I suspect.... | highly geared
03/8/2021 10:04 | Probably spud in around 2 weeks at this rate. | ngms27
03/8/2021 09:47 | I'm sure we will some some/more speculation at some point through the drilling. I have noticed shares like TRP and CHAR catching traders attention ahead of drilling. Perhaps because TXP is already close to £200m market cap, anyone who has not researched the company does not see the same kind of potential uplift from drill results as we are no longer a micro-cap E&P company (since we already have big discoveries). It may take a little longer for any success at Royston to become priced in - we shall see. Would be nice to have a chance to top-up on success and have steady share price appreciation instead of wild swings up and down? But yes, things are not like years ago, when there used to be a big run up of buying ahead of exploration drilling. Still feels like quite a risk averse market, outside of US tech stocks etc! | king suarez
03/8/2021 09:36 | Fancinating that there is so little speculative interest in this share on the cusp of a potentially transformational well. Yes the “Usual Faithfuls” are here but zero speculative traders. That says a lot about this market and probably very little about TXP. | davidblack

03/8/2021 01:04 | Congratulations Stumpy! Do you have a location in mind for your chippie? | tombag

02/8/2021 14:54 | It’s closed for the first Monday in August. They arrange it for one long weekend each summer month. Not a bad idea. | davidblack
02/8/2021 14:35 | Canada closed today? TXP not showing as open in Canada. Or that just IG? | thebull8
02/8/2021 14:18 | Really weird having passed through a very long news drought and got to the point of first well being drilled in 2021 following a 8 month gap there are people still selling? It’s as if people don’t realise they are back in the saddle and things are going to get interesting! Good or bad interesting? That’s a question only answered via a drill! Oh and Canada is on holiday today. | davidblack
02/8/2021 14:14 | Scotch morning rolls with plenty of grilled bacon and in my case black pepper and HP sauce please? | davidblack
02/8/2021 13:31 | Soggy, if the fried mars bars are not you're thing, d0 Bridies nail down those hunger pangs? | stupmy
02/8/2021 11:58 | So good he said it twice | onedayrodders
02/8/2021 10:39 | Looks like the penny is finally dropping that they are about to drill Royston after an 8 year journey since the licence round that gave them the acreage. Guessing the bit will be turning by Friday at the latest. | davidblack
02/8/2021 10:32 | Zea Servant just of the coast of Jamaica this morning making nice progress. Wouldn't mind cruising around there today myself on one one of The Princess ships. | ballymoss18
