Have just bought a few.....not many....just slicing in for Royston......may see lows again as we are looking at 3 months to the Royston result.

A lot of todays "sells" ae "buys".

Pro some of that “Short” may well be someone “Arbitraging” with the TSX.

As the TSX has been a couple of pence less than London for months there has been free money building up a London short whilst collecting stock on cheap bids in Toronto.

The Canadian disclosure threshold is 10% so as long as they are below it they can continue to play the game indefinitely.

The other reason you would not want to close it is that should there be a London placing it avoids stamp duty so a free extra 0.5%.

July 2021 figures added. A small amount of short closing over July - as seen below and also from the share price rise of late.

So still nearly 9 million shares shorted on London and still need to buy back and close.

Dunderheef, I guess that there will be dispensation once the drilling starts. But during rig up most of the crew are under the curfew rules

Regarding the Royston spud. Usually a rig up operation is a 24-7 operation. But in Trinidad most of the rig crew are under curfew from 9pm to 5am.
A reason to why the operation takes more days than most people think.

I looked at Char in a lot of detail. The problem will be the cost of extracting the gas. Massive outlay to build that platform and not sure gas price will make it worthwhile.....Happy to stick with TXP with its less risky but easily/cheaply extracted gas and oil

KS, I think you're right in that the perceived upside for the market caps of CHAR and ADV is multiples from where they are now. TXP's market cap/perceived upside ratio is lower.
Everyone loves a microcap!

COS for both those drills is also seemingly higher and TXP is probably also somewhat seen as damaged goods post Chinook.
