So....thats 4.2% short of the total number of shares.....not too bad...I can live with that. Have just bought a few.....not many....just slicing in for Royston......may see lows again as we are looking at 3 months to the Royston result. A lot of todays "sells" ae "buys". | 11_percent

04/8/2021 09:07 | The small change in shorts must have been poor old 11pc closing out, as he seems to have vanished. | ballymoss18
04/8/2021 08:44 | Sad news on TRIN thread | che7win
04/8/2021 08:34 | Pro some of that “Short” may well be someone “Arbitraging As the TSX has been a couple of pence less than London for months there has been free money building up a London short whilst collecting stock on cheap bids in Toronto. The Canadian disclosure threshold is 10% so as long as they are below it they can continue to play the game indefinitely. The other reason you would not want to close it is that should there be a London placing it avoids stamp duty so a free extra 0.5%. | davidblack
04/8/2021 01:22 | July 2021 figures added. A small amount of short closing over July - as seen below and also from the share price rise of late. TXP Stock on Loan (Shorts) from Euroclear (% borrowed from CREST holdings) Jan 2021____0.52% Feb 2021____1.23% Mar 2021____7.14% Apr 2021____8.65% May 2021____8.79% Jun 2021____8.74% Jul 2021____8.49% (Loaned 8.792 million down from 9.032 million shares in June) So still nearly 9 million shares shorted on London and still need to buy back and close. | pro_s2009
03/8/2021 23:27 | Blimey. Unbelievable but I suppose the equipment rates must take this into account as well? Must get complicated from a costing perspective. | dunderheed
03/8/2021 22:15 | Dunderheef, I guess that there will be dispensation once the drilling starts. But during rig up most of the crew are under the curfew rules | 1domus
03/8/2021 21:50 | 1domus surely there is dispensation for oil and gas or else I'd bloody wait until there is. Absolutely ridiculous to try and run operations like that under curfew? | dunderheed
03/8/2021 18:02 | Regarding the Royston spud. Usually a rig up operation is a 24-7 operation. But in Trinidad most of the rig crew are under curfew from 9pm to 5am. A reason to why the operation takes more days than most people think. | 1domus
03/8/2021 17:43 | I looked at Char in a lot of detail. The problem will be the cost of extracting the gas. Massive outlay to build that platform and not sure gas price will make it worthwhile.....Happy to stick with TXP with its less risky but easily/cheaply extracted gas and oil | thebull8
03/8/2021 13:16 | KS, I think you're right in that the perceived upside for the market caps of CHAR and ADV is multiples from where they are now. TXP's market cap/perceived upside ratio is lower. Everyone loves a microcap! COS for both those drills is also seemingly higher and TXP is probably also somewhat seen as damaged goods post Chinook. | homebrewruss

03/8/2021 12:49 | Cool Soggy, just remember fondly the bakery (all night (or at least as much of it as I ever stayed awake for). Loved my bridies. No healthier than a deep fried mars though. Congrats, and it's a better way to get pangs sorted and they're a better sort of pangs. | stupmy

03/8/2021 10:51 | Well, negative or positive, it suited me. Just got a lovely top up, 16,000 @ 89.8208p, gone down as a sell. | worraps
03/8/2021 10:50 | Ok, thanks. | herman007
03/8/2021 10:49 | Sorry, did not see the post below. Anyway, the market reaction is not positive. Is the consensus really that the spud is two weeks away?? | herman007
03/8/2021 10:46 | Safety certification and testing once assembled will likely take a week. | ngms27 |
