Mount Teide has been a little quiet. I doubt it, but was wondering if he has been lightening the load.

11 percent keep on shorting then, that’s your right. And all those shorters become forced buyers in due course, as Jeff Bezos said when Amazon was sub $40 back after the Dotcom bust.

For me this is an investment not a punt.

Personally here till I am pleased or disappointed by the results.

So when the price ceases to have my required “10 bagger plus upside” which I think this still has at this point, I will then move on.

I hold four big holdings and all have that same upside in place.

Two of those are at their 5 year upside, one it’s 6 month low and then TXP. So plenty of smiles and pain.

So it’s a portfolio bet for me.

What also caught my eye yesterday was a comment that $235bn of investment in upstream oil and gas hasn’t occurred over the last 24 months and isn’t likely to now occur.

So with oil now clearly present on TXP’s acreage, curtesy of the Chinook discovery.

I think both Chinook and the adjacent Gaubine ground may well be the early oily catalyst for that 830p price I am looking for? If Kraken comes good then more on top.

So with oil going to get very pricey in the next decade TXP looks to be a decent bet.

And pricey oil will be good for the change to “Green solutions” which are my first, third and fourth portfolio holdings.

In the interest of balance the self inflicted delays they keep on getting screwed on drive me nuts! But they seem to have stopped that hence the news vacuum the shorters are enjoying.

You are right that the rewards are maybe no longer as good however you miles off saying it's a little de-risked. The existing discoveries could conceivably produce $55m a year in revenue. Would love to know what you consider the risks outside of the delays and maybe all the results so far being fraudulent

High risk, high reward...also known as a gamble

Far lower reward?

Coho took the stock from 15p to 35p.

Today the stock is 83p and a tad beaten up.

So if you applied the same uplift you don’t think Royston, Kraken, Chinook 2 &3, the development of Cascadura and the others are going to take this higher than 193p.

Personally I think that’s wrong but hey that’s what makes a market.

Pre Coho it was high risk high reward thebull. It wasn't a 'gamble'. It's now a little derisked but far lower reward.

It just doesn't make sense to me that 10% of shares would be on a naked short.

What not understand......go short...make money...keep shorting.....its worked since 178p.

Very true.

Nobody ever made money investing in now!! You invest in the future. As for the short position - if somebody is trading on inside information then I'll make sure the relevant authorities are notified. Most likely it is some sort of hedge. As you may have seen recently shorts don't always get it right

My broker tells me I took out the last MM offering 84p.

Hopefully we will rise from here.

Can you clarify please.

Are you saying the MMs will offer shares at 84....then take it higher.

Its not about next year......its about NOW.

If the shorters can push the share price lower....they will....its how they makwe money.

The lower the share price the greater the demand for shares will be 60p is circa 125 mill market cap. In circa 12 months TXP will likely be producing that per annum and over a billion dollars plus worth of gas over the next ten or so years.

This is the last point in time to be buying......its at 83.....and if that does not hold we will freefall to 50-60p.

Its now all about 83p......if it does not hold......which is likely outcome given the short position.

The shorters here......have inside info, which is usual for a company like this......have been taking this down from 178p.....and they are not going to stop now.

They can make another easy 10/20p from here.

I bought in here a couple of weeks after the CascaduraST1 results. As an investor I look for opportunities where proven assets will result in future cash flow. I wouldn't have invested here before Coho as it was a gamble.... Luckily this isn't a gamble anymore. The share price may fall to 60p or 40p but all the more reason for me not to sell. Very happy with my holding here. Linton on the other hand invested in BPC because he saw a low market cap and huge numbers on successful discovery. Essentially he is lazy, gambled and lost. Don't listen to bitter losers like Linton
