20/6/2021 09:45 | TGM - I also agree with the part about "not hearing the negatives". My point was that there are ways to express the negative and if you compare the posting styles gopbg's style is way better and less antagonistic than 11_precent's. I can do without that style but still hear the sensible posters express their doubts. Spawny100 is welcome to share his doubts if he doesn't wind everyone up in the process and have an unpleasant posting style. | lauders
20/6/2021 09:37 | Completely agree Spawny. I'm sitting on a decent sized paper loss on TXP and I personally hope that the share price doesn't slide any further. But if people are predicting further decreases and are providing some justification for it (breaching of a support line) then I'd personally like to hear that opinion. I've also noted the snide remarks and attempted censoring for anyone posting sceptical queries, or even simply not being positive enough in statements made... | the_gold_mine
20/6/2021 09:27 | You're right the goldmine. I've stopped bothering to post my red flags and areas of concern here any more as I just get snide comments. It's never a positive sign when bulletin boards develop that characteristic. Usually happens with shares where disgruntled longterm holders are siting on large paper losses. The drop is certainly not all TXP specific though. Markets are in risk off mode at present and US inflation data has not gone down well. | spawny100
20/6/2021 08:31 | Lauders, I'm not in agreement with blocking people who have a contrary opinion as to the share prices direction of travel, or a forthright commenting style.. As is the case with 11_percent. To me that is only going to reinforce my own confirmation bias. I'm on these boards to learn as much as anything (I've only been investing for around 9 months) and only listening to good news will not help me to do that. It takes guts to make a contrarian statement on a board that is dominated by optimistic long term holders, and I want to hear all sides of the story so I can improve moving forward. | the_gold_mine
20/6/2021 05:14 | Compare and consider posting styles. We have gopbg who has shown his/her colours and made sensible posts about the current decline and then we have the now filtered 11_percent with his/her more derampy posts with an "aggressive" undertone to them. I certainly know who has more credibility and that is the person who remains off my filtered list. This current decline is painful. From around a ten-bagger down to "only" a two-bagger. Yes, I could, and probably should have been more clever, but I am NOT a trader. Are we really going to see no money from Coho, and the Cascaduras? Delays, delays and that's what all this is apparently about. I would love it for a decent RNS about an agreement with Shell (that hasn't helped either) land out of the blue and make some of the shorts think twice as a result! The pain may well continue from the looks of it though :-( | lauders
19/6/2021 22:28 | "shows signs of positivity returning." worraps, Are you having a laugh.....its just dropped 6p......through support at 83p.....and you think this is positive. Its going to 70p....next stop.... | 11_percent
19/6/2021 22:25 | worraps, Look at Fridays post.....I called the drop spot on. While others were telling me that a wall of cash cash was coming.....and peeps were talking about "distressed sellers". There is professional bunch scammmers shorting this.....and it will continue next weeek. | 11_percent
19/6/2021 21:57 | Where’s Amateur? 50% plus down. He’s gone missing… | linton78
19/6/2021 17:53 | HBR bagged it, I was merely the echo, which I doubt he will mind too much. The interesting thing is I think XM seems to be psychologically preparing his geological colleagues for the possibility of something big for Trinidad (and secondarily for TXP of course.) What’s clear is that the T&T National identity is wrapped together with the hydrocarbon industry with Trinidad having being a serious player for over 100 years. It feels like the recent successes of Suriname and Guyana of late have made Trinidadians feel less certain of their previously central place in the Caribbean oil world. Clearly XM is making the point that Trinidad might well be the northern extent of that Orinoco/Suriname/Guy So they should pay serious attention to what might happen at Royston and possibly Kraken in due course. Just my take. The bit to add of course is cost. A Liza in Deep water is a $100m well, Royston maybe $7m all in! | davidblack
19/6/2021 17:11 | DB and HBR, thanks for the Xavier tweets. I think reading those, plus Canada on the up towards close shows signs of positivity returning. | worraps
19/6/2021 17:07 | 11_percent, you have written "abd" instead of 'and', and "bu" instead of 'by'. Those errors, plus your previous Freudian slip I find very amusing, and difficult to give you any credibility whatsoever. Thanks for the laugh. | worraps
19/6/2021 16:48 | Ok....peeps will be contemplating their losses over the weekend.....and many will be selling on Monday, abd the rest of the week.......looking like 70p bu Friday. | 11_percent
19/6/2021 14:54 | That gives plenty of room for lots of optimism HBR. Where else are we going to get a potential 5-10 bagger target like Royston sitting underneath a drill pad with an existing access road plus pre tested by the OL-4 historic well. And a $5-$10bn Liza sized Cretaceous target sitting underneath for free! Ok I will hold my irritation in check! | davidblack
19/6/2021 14:01 | Interesting twitter thread from Xavier on previous Cretaceous exploration close to Kraken | homebrewruss
19/6/2021 10:14 | It’s July in two weeks time and no well has been drilled or gas hooked up to pipelines this year. The last drilling finished in December pre Christmas. Chip in the unexpected Chinook and the stock has lost momentum on the ground which and lately in the price. Time to put the motor back in gear? | davidblack
18/6/2021 22:05 | The change in the last 6 months is that in January, the market was valuing TXP 18-24=months future earnings. Now the market is saying “get Cascadura hooked up and earning and until you do the share price will be discounted to reflect execution risk “. | highly geared
18/6/2021 22:04 | As a poster yesterday and last week.....Same pattern. Somebody selling in London to bring down the price as volume is low. As soon as London closes it goes back up a few percent. | thebull8
18/6/2021 21:28 | Nice to see late tick up in Toronto to close at $1.43 - LSE opening on Monday should be more encouraging for LTH's. | dougdig
18/6/2021 21:27 | I Agree TheGoldMine | che7win
18/6/2021 21:25 | Indeed, che7win, the point I was making is I still think my investment in TXP was sound. Perhaps I didn't sound enthusiastic enough for your tastes? | the_gold_mine
18/6/2021 20:57 | The fundamentals have changed a lot, have you seen the oil price? | che7win
18/6/2021 20:49 | Agreed Worraps. But I'm just going to suck it up and see where it goes. The fundamentals haven't changed one iota that I can see. | the_gold_mine
18/6/2021 18:41 | Short term noise can be very loud and painful, especially at 55% decimation decibels. | worraps |
