Let's hope the AGM get TXP back on track. Seems like a tough ceiling to breach 100p and stay above it now. Perhaps some positive vibes will do the trick and Canadian trading will lead the way?

PB here pre the Coho drill clearly states that they think they have three wells to drill at Coho.

After drilling Cascadura, the Coho wells 2 and 3 appear to have become second tier targets. Especially since they were not part of the 4 wells licence obligation requirement.

Post Chinook being not so straightforward and with a pipeline going in at Coho (it will happen) the economics of Coho wells 2 and 3 may now be very much more attractive?

TXP, the quickest route to the additional cash flow is short pipe to Shell. So ultimately that is the preferred route.

However, there will come a time when if not going ahead it will be time to say "Ferk It" and just go into the NGC line.

Cat and Mouse between NGC and Shell and government. Shell want something, NGC want something and they have to sort it out between themselves. TXP is just watching and waiting on the sidelines.

David

"Time to drill the two other Coho prospects and take the gas to the NGC pipeline?"

Interesting idea, it would speed up negotiations if Shell thought there was an alternative route to market for the gas.

Shorts in Canada reduced down to just 157K now as per 4th of June 2021.

Euroclear June 2021 figures for stock on loan in London are going to be immensely interesting.

Shell wants other things approved for their blocks and developments elsewhere so… I guess that they try to use the Coho pipeline as a negotiation card.

Apparently Shell might not be too happy about the $2.50 TXP gas going to their state rival and also that it risks reducing the impetus for the offshore drillers to spend their big exploration dollars if they can’t make money at $2.50.

Shell obviously wants those offshore explorers to invest billions and then lock in that offshore supply neatly at one of those times when prices collapse!

Txp is apparently an annoying fly.

Interesting that Mr Baay is in the same session as the general manager of Shell's TT Upstream Assets, especially as the session is titled "RAPID Upstream Asset Updates".

TXP's Coho would be more rapid with Shell's co-operation

Thanks for the info. Maybe the energy conf and the AGM is why we are seeing slightly better sentiment in the share price today.

The bull - "This says to me whoever buys them is responsible for the transportation costs."

Or, that if it's at such a discount to Brent, it's sold by TXP "at the wellhead" (or in reality, post separation) and as such transportation won't be their problem
