“ Really dont understand all this margin trading, just buy real shares with real money and sit back and relax in the sun, far less stress.”

People can have much larger positions. All serious multi-millionaires use leverage.

Besides which, how many days sun do we get? :^}

Sorry, Pro.....but I find looking at the severely reduced value of my fully paid for shares just as stressful as any on margin!

Be interesting if the distressed seller is back again today, or did they finish yesterday.

This week is June rollover week, so whoever that was bailing out this week really took a nasty loss.

Really dont understand all this margin trading, just buy real shares with real money and sit back and relax in the sun, far less stress.

Margin call for Prozac !

🤣

All the hype and BS from his mouth.

This is the reality.

Investors should avoid this rubbish like the plague and invest in quality trusts / funds.

If North Energy is selling, I think its to contribute in the financing needs of Reach Subsea. They are making an investment in unmanned ships, and some equity is probably necessary in addition to loan financing. These ships will be delivered over four years, and I cant see that the need for financing at this stage is very substantial.

I notice that a 300,000 sell and buy trade has appeared again.

I assume it's someone extending their T20 trade in the expectation of good news appearing. Fingers crossed!!

I can confirm che7win and thebull8's explanations. The shareprice is an absolute farce, dropping from 170p+, down to 88p mid. That's a 48% decline, due to the surprise Chinook result, which may yet be resolved, and weather causing problems. Again, will be resolved. As will the Coho pipeline games being played....again will be resolved.

I jumped in with a top up at the end on a T20, as my funds aren't freed up yet. My broker charges slightly more these days for extended settlement, so had to pay 88.4p.
Crazy! But good!

The London Stock Exchange doesn't report trades as buys or sells. So what's happens is the system uses a basic algorithm to decide if they were buys or sells. If the share price is 90p and somebody trades at 91p this is noted as buy. If somebody trades at 89p it goes down as a sell. When price moves quite quickly and people buying/selling above or below the ask/bid this tends to be distorted

Rabblrour, I can confirm by one of two reasons:1. Doing an actual buy at the time;2. Doing a dummy buy through my broker - getting a live price. The 88.2p trades were buys.On another note, I'm very confident those selling at this price will regret it.

che7 .. trying to understand that Trades column. Don't see that sort of thing here in Canada. So, if a quantity shows in the Sell column, then it is actually a BUy?.. and the converse being that BUy Col figures should be considered as Sell?

Just seems kind of convoluted, but maybe its skewed to the action of the Exchange.
Can you please clarify? been wondering how that all works for the last several months, and its curious that yourself and perhaps Others have had to post that some figures are actually Buys. ...got a bit too wordy.. sorry !

The seismic appears to be going well from the pictures published two days ago if you want a bit of sunshine.

Ground appears damp but not too bad.

Part of the issue here is the company has gone “Cold Turkey” on the news front post Chinook. Throughly proper decision but if it takes 3 months for things to happen and previously PB was somewhat ahead of the facts then that 3 months stretches a little further.

tb8 he / she can't win!
If they';re quiet about selling then come back later and say they sold on such a such date - people don't believe them and if they do - people put them down for "announcing".
Me, I'm still long and (a little less so!!) strong - I hope I don't get criticised for stating that - we shall see what happens!

Best of luck all.

Pro said he has no problem with people buying and selling but that people should say once they've done so. That's what I just did. Can't please all the people all the time.

Not saying you haven't. Doesn't mean you need to announce your departure or tell everybody how clever you are for selling at the top....learn some humility
