Just wondering if anyone here holds Balmoral? I see that they have decided to clear out the small shareholders @ €10.50 or €.105 before consolidation. It allows me to take a tax loss, I would have preferred a taxable profit. The board has been paid millions since this business was spun off from Fyffes.

Just a thought, at the current Dole share price of $16.24, each Total Produce share is worth €2.08. Now if we can get to $24.......

There was great hope that the real value would be recognised with the US listing. Hasn't happened so far.

Agreed Q1 looks strong and allows scope to increase expectations later in the year. But this does feel like an example of a US listing not being any better than a London one.

That's how results are being reported. I expect great volatility at the open. The ER mentions “the sale of idle land in Hawaii during the third quarter of 2023". I'd prefer if they'd rented out that land if they didn't farm it. I keep reading that the super-rich are accumulating land globally.

Interesting post, people are still eating and drinking, not sure about smoking. Suspect the forthcoming update will be a little disappointing. Roll in '24!

It closed the gap between $10.70 & $11 that remained since we gapped up on earnings on 31 Jan 2023. With interest rates, treasury & bond yields high, low-yielding defensive stocks are being (short-)sold. Renewed USD strength since July also negatively affects DOLE's non-US profits.

It's just the same market manipulation that sent DOLE from $17.65 to $7.2. Weekly resistance below $10.93 wasn't retested after it gapped up on 31 Jan 2023.
