I think they have refocused their attention on making money! Let's see how Q2 turns out in 3 months.

Couldn't see any immediate reason in the Q1 results for the share price jump, but they did have a more positive feel. 10x 2024 forecasts doesn't feel unreasonable.

Moving logistics to the M1 motorway should reduce transport costs, delays & city centre congestion. It will be awkward for staff living in the city, whose jobs will move 30km out to north county Dublin, where public transport is limited. Hopefully the current Dole site on Mary's Lane will be redeveloped as housing. It is very near the Four Courts Luas stop. Four years after closing, the beautiful Victorian Fruit & Veg Market nearby is being used as secure storage by some of the many builders working in the area.

I wish I'd kept buying as DOLE dived without reason. It's good to see that in addition to revenue growing 4.7% & adjusted EBITDA increasing 21.7% year-on-year, net debt decreased from $1.13b to $1.02b in 2022.

Agreed nothing nasty for me and the $350m excludes the bus being sold. They need to get back to the old over-deliver record. So far the combination and the US listing has not added value.

Fresh Del Monte (FDP) reported Q4 2022 on 22/2/23, beating revenue ($1.04b Vs $1.03b) & earnings expectations ($0.45 Vs -$0.05). FDP has rallied 11% since.

DOLE will report Q4 2022 & host a conference call on Tue 7/3/23 at 08:00 ET.

Mergers seem to depress shares, as earnings are hit by the cost of integration. We'll have to wait for the higher NY multiple apparently. 🙄

Read it earlier, very interesting. Were management dazzled by the Bright Lights of Wall Street? Hopefully the deal will complete. Could a slimmer Dole attract attention?

Interesting press release this morning. Hopefully reduced debt of ($293m) will be received positively by the markets. We will know in a few hours.

On the weekly & monthly chart, DOLE found support at broken resistance at $9.32. After accumulating for the last 9 weeks, I expect it to test the pivot at ~$13 before possibly retesting ~$10.50.

Nice rise of 90 cents since start of Jan however we are approaching a resistance level. Hopefully we can clear $11 soon. B
