I expect solid, unexciting performance in line with the earnings of Total Produce after it bought 45% of Dole Food Company in Feb 2018. Perhaps we'll hear something about cost synergies as a result of the merger.

I think the share price reflects the madness in US markets, where markets teeter at all-time highs & valuations reflect momentum, sentiment, personality cults & sector rotations rather than value. Anything overvalued gets bought on dips, while anything underpriced gets shorted.

Dole PLC is in the hands of market manipulators now. There was big option activity at $17.5 & it duly gapped up & dumped. They're now shorting again to repeat the cycle. If they drive it down to $12 & close the gap that Total Produce left at the merger announcement, I'll look to buy. Eventually institutions will buy up the stock & short sellers will move on to another victim.

DOLE @ US15.73 just now. Can't see any declared Short position. We should see 3/4 results mid October. Hopefully they will be good (excellent would be better) and the SPwill move upwards.GLTA
