Stuart, it is a bit convoluted to go through the full logic. Basically if TOM are successful with a binding financial package HoTs for the asset, they will need to ramp up their overhead very quickly. That cash will not be covered by the investment package, but will fall into the 12m sign off period. TOM could go for a back-to-back HoT and placing, but the easiest option would be to demonstrate cash generation from the wells. All they would then have to do is show that they have the cash to commercialise the wells.

In essence for going concern sign off I reckon that TOM can perm one of:

Binding HoTs plus demonstration of extra cash from placing or similar for increased overhead.

Binding HoTs plus drill results plus cash to commercialise, with revenue financing overhead.

No HoTs, drill results plus cash to commercialise and demonstrate they should have cashflow to be able to raise the 90% by 31/12.

Or no HoTs, an amended purchase agreement deferring payment of the 90%, and demonstrate sufficient cash to cover debt repayment and on going costs.

Given that challenge of raising $175m quickly I would suggest that the last two are the most likely and the best option is the drill.

By the way I do expect the results of the third well next week, and accounts the week after. The market will inform us if/when funding is nearing, and I agree, it certainly isn't going to be Monday!

Good morning Diddy, I personally fail to see how the current drills have any impact over the issuing of the accounts in the next week or so. We are only awaiting the result of the third exploration well. The first 2 being encouraging makes the third more of a mapping exercise to help ascertain the area of the play. The first 2 not encountering water and being to expectations was crucial.

Vauch, I very much doubt there will be news on the financing on Monday, certainly nothing binding. It is all predicated to the drilling now and that has to happen or signing off the accounts will be problematic.

Hi Aj .. It's TERM SHEET not TIME SHEET lol.

There are a number of reasons why the term sheet has not been announced yet.

Like TOMco are still negotiating with the preferred funder or a second potential funder has come along and need time to put a deal together.

No rush for TOMco as they want to get the results from the exploration wells first
I think.

If the CO2 well idea is dead in the water then the amount of funding is less.

John Potter should use vague words like "hopefully soon" when quizzed in future.

IMO, a term sheet offering $145m of funding"

Is patently a fantasy

and ridiculous

as the company's published optimistic cash flow forecast
says they need

$175m

Despite claiming to read the missives put out by TOM and actually being corrected the gamblers still cling
to lower numbers like a comfort blanket.

Stuart, the big lift will only be after the conceptual pit. Just a guess but with a little frothy speculation the base price may be 10p then, but there is still plenty of scope for upside from that price.

IMO, a term sheet offering $145m of funding is highly price sensitive and would have to be announced. Far too much possibility of inside trading.

"Morning Vauch,
To my knowledge nowhere did JP say that receipt of the time sheet would be notified in an RNS."

Aha , there is the answer , he did not say "Term Sheet" , he said "Time Sheet"

He's planning on putting in a claim for overtime.....

Stuart, the funders will be taking 100% of the risk, less the diversification element of the package.

For the moment TOM need to get the accounts signed off and for shareholders sake that needs to be from the drill.

Looks like there has been a buyer of XTR shares this week. The shareholder base is relatively firm and any active buying pushes the share price up. I do not think that the conceptual pit will be compplete until June. There will then be an NPV for Racecourse which will start to give perspective to the sale value.

Morning Vauch,

To my knowledge nowhere did JP say that receipt of the term sheet would be notified in an RNS. The fact that he gave notice of the term sheet time line means that news is therefore in the public domain and therefore may negate the requirement for an official RNS.

I would personally prefer an RNS but can also understand why one has not been issued. Any delay or renegotiation of the time sheet details is pure speculation but this is what BB are for.

Frustrating admittedly but hardly a reason for all the doom and gloom as we have a very promising future ahead and the share price will respond in due course.

Another week passes without finance deal.
It is beyond belief that JP would say that it would be within a couple of weeks.
Why cant he come clean and fess up to what the problem is.
Has he not a good holding in Tom?
