18/10/2021 09:49 | Just listened to Alison Rose CEO of Natwest on business lending.... Not that it should have any relevance here, but for those that still dream.... Natwest is transitioning to lending Zero to fossil fuels businesses. Fossil fuel lending represents less than 1% of business lending from Natwest. They started a 3 year plan to lend £20bln to renewables businesses and managed to lend that in 18months so now it is being extended to £100Bln. For those with fingers in their ears , the climate for lending to fossil fuels has changed. Net zero by 2030 That means that the best businesses with fantastic track records and credit ratings are going to struggle to finance fossil fuel projects. As for TOM's one man band...... | ![]() fenners66

18/10/2021 08:37 | All's fair in ....business right? Just considering what some CEO's, with shareholders to appease, could do with this drilling the land purchase scenario.... As it becomes clear that the 3rd party drill the land to pay off the deposit of $1.5m is TOM's preferred option; the 3rd party could at the last minute , site "unreconcilable differences " or " unable to agree commercial terms" . If the land is really worth commercial drilling that bad , they could then allow TOM to reach the end of their "Option to buy period". Then approach the seller, say here is $1.5m we will take the 10% interest. As its only a time limited "option" that is doing nothing wrong. TOM takes the risk it cannot arrange finance. In theory 3rd party gets a $500k discount and drills without giving any revenue away to TOM. However in practice they may well decide that the price of $24,000 an acre is well over the top and stay well away , with land "next door " going for $140 an acre.... | ![]() fenners66
18/10/2021 08:33 | Hi Jay .. I bought my 2 Mill back at a higher price than it is today but pocketed a nice profit on my panic induced trade. So I'm relaxed on the price I paid. It is very difficult to catch the bottom price unless you are good at it like rmart. | ![]() ducky fuzz |
