It actually said the update to the plant would be completed shortly after Easter with and update "in the coming weeks". So I'd say news anytime from now to 10 days time seems reasonable.

The rns said shortly after Easter for an update, so, another 3 or 4 weeks is too much slack. TOM have still not learnt how to establish a relationship with shareholders by adéquate updates and communications.

The new investor Stephen Hattersley - if he is Hatto, historically made a very good call on Ashtead but was heavily invested in PET which has been the graveyard of many. It is possible that the wild fluctuations in PET enabled him to trade out. Investing in PET does not look good on the CV.

Lopo, if the narrative is right then there are individuals who will pick up the baton and do your bidding. There are plenty of companies around where the directors have made no personal commitment, but the strong narrative allows them to do it. There can be a symbiotic relationship between directors and investors.

As a rule of thumb this scenario rarely ends well.

When you refer to others, who are the others?

With the complete vacuum of useful information, it can only be that others are relying on inspired and 'researched' guesswork - unless of course there is an informal dripping of information to certain parties.

Expert as Valkor is, that firm has a fifty percent interest in Greenfield, not TOM and its interests in the wider scheme of things may conflict with Greenfield.
