It is the 2nd MOU that will be relevant to Greenfield further down the line. When it comes to the bit about Valkor ‘needing to engineer, install and operate the oil sands mining and processing facilities’, I would expect that to be farmed out to Greenfield.


“In the second MOU Valkor can earn up to an 87.5% interest in the shallow (“mineableR21;) oil sands in HCD’s Utah leases by initially completing a preliminary study to determine the feasibility to mine the oil sands within the leases. Valkor will also spend a minimum of US$250,000 assessing the applicability of HCD Multi-Flow in the mining process. To earn its interest Valkor will then need to engineer, install and operate the oil sands mining and processing facilities.”

Thanks Busa. MOU signed to explore the deeper formations which are of no interest to Greenfield. Any near surface suitable ore could be used by our JV in the future. I don't think we will have any issues in the next 20 years with supply of local oil sands to keep our plant running. (Certainly not at our current rate of production! :-) )

SB appears to have control of the POSP's overall future in reality notwithstanding the Greenfield venture agreement. JP must walk a very fine line to keep Tom's objectives firmly on track. May be the agreement may need variation to suit SB and to protect TOM's position going forward.
In the absence of useful updates, it's a guessing game.
