Shares in Tintra PLC (AIM:TNT), the investor in technology plays, soared 338% to 230p this week after two deep-pocketed investors backed the company.

Firstly, the US-based family office of Omar Mangalji, a member of the Canadian Mangalji family, agreed to buy 148,511 new shares at 504p a pop. If that seems massively overpriced for a stock that was trading around 53p last week then at least the investor also has the option to triple its stake through warrants priced at 50p each.

The second investor, an unnamed Gulf-based strategic investor, is subscribing for 297,022 shares at the same price, with the same two warrants for every ordinary share attachment as the first investor.

Tintra is working with London-based Time Machine Capital 2 Limited, a specialised artificial intelligence investment and research business and its affiliate, Finsenr, on the construction of banking and infrastructure technology systems that are focused on frontier and emerging markets, which it believes are underserved by today's environment.

It was another week of big movers in the resources sector but then it is most weeks.

Interesting discussion on LSE but some of it not correct imho. One guy is talking of a £125 share price !! Another saying the share price needs to be £15 for the warrants to be exercised at 50p. I haven’t checked but has he factored in that we are due further investors in this first tranche later this month (probably at 504p) so a few extra shares to market plus there is the second fund raising tranche later this year - so the trigger price to get to £250 million will probably end up being a little lower than £15. Maybe nearer £10. Great discussion topic but it’s really a moving target re share price or warrant targets until the tranches are completed and we know how many new shares have been issued and at what price - we can all agree though that it’s looking good here - VERY GOOD (btw I used to post there but I got locked out and they want an old email address to reactive - but hopefully I will work out how to post over there again soon and respond directly to posts)

They stated "on or around 14th January" so presumably the confirmation must come next week.

Consider retirement and pension drawdown in an environment with more palatable tax conditions

Ie Portugal had a 10 year scheme free of any tax on pension income (sipp) but since this year 10% rate

Richard Shearer, the Group CEO, has informed the Company that Tintra Acquisitions Ltd ("TAL"), a company that he controls, has today gifted 297,022 ordinary shares of 1 pence each in the capital of the Company ("Ordinary Shares") to the Tintra Foundation, a newly established Swiss foundation for the progression of the environmental, social and governance ("ESG") objectives of Tintra, TAL and the wider Tintra organisation (the "Foundation").
