2magpies: "alloa2003 27 Jan '22 - 19:02 - 1240 of 1240 0 1 0 .......... These AI boys dont just jump into bed with anyone. In their world, the next deal has to be bigger and better than the last one. So, if the last one was valued at circa $5b, they must have huge plans with Tintra." ................................................ Well, the AI boys may be beginning to twitch. TNT seemed not to be aware that $1m funds' clearance would require a final 'verbal' security check.. and gave a settlement deadline which ended up being passed. They have been mooting the Lottery sale for a good while now, and have 1/4/22 deadline for both the sale and the 2nd investors' subscription, which is conditional upon the sale being completed. Why were they NOT aware of 'banking complexities' already? TNT are talking big -- very very big, but their technical/admin comes across, to me, as rather 'small-town'. For a company that's offering solutions, it just keeps bumping up against 'unexpected' problems. Problems that, really ought NOT to be unexpected! Indeed they should have been anticipated, and addressed. There are far, far more important/complex procedural/regulatory milestones in the not too distant future. They really need to up their game.
2magpies: cromwell they do reel out some high-falutin buzz words, and are going to 'revolutionise' the financial services industry, but they didn't forsee the 'unexpected complexities that have needed navigating', re the lottery sale. they are aiming for multi-billion$ enterprise, but are tripping-up on such small (but important) details. They need, imo, to pay far more attention to detail (such as claiming that US family office was investing, when it was an entity - Cap Meridian controlled by a US family. office) ..That mistake could have cost them very dearly, had the investor been peed-off. Oh, and another thing: TNT should not give a date for when something will be done by -- they miss the deadline far, far too often. When it's done, tell us.
ak62: this is TNT thread
albert arthur: #TNT appear to be involved builders of Triller app ( TMC2 CTO Dr. Joe Lyske) valued at $5b Tiktok competitor. Potentially why the raise is at £5 and the price today is £2... https://twitter.com/albert__arthur/status/1486722540454047756?s=21
intoodeep: Plus we have known how MMs work here since the 50p days, nothing has changed with their methods, they set their pricing on a very narrow book and will move dramatically on very low volumes so in effect they are still treating TNT as if it were priced at say £5-£7 MCAP value and working their trade prices accordingly because true trade volumes are pretty small overall here. Look at the av daily trade volumes here over say the last 3 months, still 100k a day typically. This is still a very small volume stock in reality. Price will rise when buying volume rises but not until then.
2magpies: alloa yes, I did wonder if 'mico manage' was the right expression, but 'running commentary' from them: we don't need it, as you say. Also when you see 'TNT', think 'TMC' !! (in other words, think 'big'!)
alloa2003: The market really doesnt know how to take TNT - everything they promised they have delivered on, so far. Long way to go with the FinTech product but confusion seems to be the name of the day at the moment.
alloa2003: While I have shares in TNT, putting myself in the shoes of an outside looking in, there is one main thread throughout TNT over the last year or so. When the company has raised funds, sold shares, above the share price at the time, they have been mocked. However, every time the share price has eventually "caught up". We are now at the situation where serious players have announced stakes at 504p and others are in advanced negotiations. These people havent made money by throwing it away. A fool and their money are easily parter, not so for the rich. One additional point which I havent seen covered is the ever reducing gap between the share price and the subscription price. The narrower the gap, the more interested those in advanced talks will become. No share is without risk but the potential with TNT is huge as they continue to go about expansion their own way, ignoring a market which has for months simply misunderstood/ignored the potential. Its not as if the management havent been clear about their intentions all the way down the line is it?
knigel: I am 55 this September and can access my SIPP and TNT is by far the largest holding so will need to know how to access the 25% tax free element (in one go or in stages?) soon... might hit the lifetime allowance IF TNT goes beyond £8 and I suspect a few of us will be in the same boat GL
intoodeep: TBH, I am thinking my TNT holdings in my SIPP will smash my total SIPP value through the Lifetime Allowance of £1,073,100 after which I understand any excess is automatically taxed at 55%. Experts says draw down total 25% of holding reduce the size of the pot to maximise tax fee income. Still think I could go well over the total anyway so I guess that means 55% tax applies on everything over £1,073,100 once that threshold is crossed. Bit of a conundrum which has got me very unsure what to do as I can't sell all my TNT but then I can't avoid busting the SIPP allowance so the tax man will screw me..... any views welcome but I guess I will need chat to an IFA?
