29/12/2005 18:05 | It's now official - the offer is unconditional....Hop sat | sat69
22/12/2005 19:24 | It so happens I have some TCP shares which I've not yet committed. I see TIN are now dropping the 90% acceptances to 50%. May as well sit tight I suppose whilst the inevitable takes place. | sandbank
20/12/2005 17:21 | Sat69: Good to see someone's going in. But there's many a slip twixt the TIN cup and the lip. | sandbank
20/12/2005 13:51 | I'm already in tears! Looks like we're in for the long term now. I noted the first trade go through today in over a week - 2000 shares, but at least it was a buy!! sat | sat69
20/12/2005 11:09 | Hi Sand, Sorry about the lack of charts - no idea how it's done but if u can guide me i'll have a go! So - TCP now recommend the TIN offer? - What's your take on todays announcement? sat | sat69
19/12/2005 19:41 | SAT69 - Be good if you could add a few charts to this thread but thanks for starting it. I suspect what's happening is that everyone in TCP is trying to save his or her own neck / job by trying to find a way of getting another investor in who will be content to leave the existing management in control. The prospect of handing over the keys to treasured artefacts like "Question Time" to some bunch of hicksville out-of-towners operating out of an converted old Tesco supermarket in a down-at-heel part of West Wales must be - to that suave Soho set - just too terrible to contemplate. But TCP would do well not to underestimate their bidder. The TIN men aren't something out of the Wizard of Oz; they're sharper than the edge of newly-opened can of Heinz - and they know how many beanz make five. | sandbank
19/12/2005 11:29 | Hi Guys, With overwhelming shareholder support, despite TCP's refusal to accept the TIN overtures, it is now only a matter of time that TIN swall up The Television Corporation. As TIN have such a high percentage of shareholders on board, they no longer require the support of the TCP board. So why are TCP trying to make things difficult? Can anybody help me with this? sat | sat69 |
