26/8/2023 11:50 | Coal still moving higher :) | sbb1x
25/8/2023 15:25 | Anyone buy the dip today.... I see this heading to about 9 quid towards winter | sbb1x
24/8/2023 16:26 | Near term news awaited on Ensham is my guess. Completes 31/08. | sogoesit
24/8/2023 14:32 | The trend is your friend. Gaps to fill higher up, exciting share to hold towards winter | sbb1x

21/8/2023 12:26 | Just listening to the end of thr conference call, share buyback more likely towards end of the year when it's clearer how their liquidity allocation has gone /performance of transnet etc | e43
21/8/2023 11:52 | On the Buyback issue (ex page 21 of HY Interims): "The board recognises the benefits that a share buyback could have for shareholders, but is cognisant of the fact that many resources companies execute a buyback following the peak of the commodity cycles, with the risk that these share buybacks are then executed during periods of declining commodity prices, resulting in less than favourable outcomes for shareholders. The board accordingly continues to monitor the ongoing market volatility, the trajectory of rail performance and the level of balance sheet flexibility the Group requires, as we assess the appropriate approach to a potential share buyback that delivers long-term value creation for shareholders." | sogoesit
21/8/2023 11:19 | Never disappoints with the swings here.Lower dividend than I thought. | sbb1x
21/8/2023 09:51 | I'm out with a small loss. Got exposure to coal through GLEN and BHP. Because of the situation in SA I don't feel comfortable with this one unless paying huge dividends to compensate the risk. | spawny100
21/8/2023 08:43 | The Div is going to disappoint abit/plus holding back on any share buybacks but the big plus is the expected completion of the Ensham acquisition at end of this month ,should be more profitable on a per/t basis than the SA production. Plus the future investment in the best of the SA assets, the companies clearly set its stall up taking a longterm view But as always ,it about the price of coal going forward. | e43
21/8/2023 07:47 | Another way to look at it: That's the minimum payout from the avowed policy (30%). If the pay out had been 50% then that would have equated to R15 which in itself is a significant difference from what my estimates had been. So, being wrong on how much they pay out seems to indicate to me that they are (prudently) conserving cash. Conserving cash signals to me that "the challenges" remain and the only other support will be strengthening coal prices. As ever it's a bet on future coal prices going into winter. Will we see that? (Guidance is predicated on USD100/tonne export against the Average Realised Export Price of USD105.78/t for this HY and Benchmark of USD129.50/t. And current Futures to end year barely into the USD120's/t). I agree that the likelihood is that the next dividend will, on the odds, be the same albeit we are still in the dark on Ensham's contribution to the FY Results. Ignoring Ensham this stock previously carried a 30% yield for the risks and you make a good comparison with the likes of LGEN. Ex-Dividend is 21 September. Will the market wait to collect or take what's on the table now? | sogoesit
21/8/2023 07:07 | Hmmm somewhat below the estimates here recently. About 32p a share after taking the 20% off. If that continues with next dividend it will only be an 11.6% yield. Is that enough to compensate for the SA risks given many big FTSE shares like LGEN have yields approaching 10% now? | spawny100
20/8/2023 21:53 | ALL EYES ON 7AM ANNOUNCEMENT.What do we think dividend will be....Total guess 20 zar minus 20 percent 16.16 zar is still 66p | sbb1x
18/8/2023 14:58 | The announcement that the SA Catholic Church is instigating a class action against the SA coal mining industry for damages relating to worker's lungs , not helped sentiment here the last couple of days apparently TGA going to be included going forward. | e43
17/8/2023 16:27 | Flooding sell side with tiny sells followed by big buys.Someone wants to load up on the cheap | sbb1x
16/8/2023 14:20 | Well last years final was 6,000 ZAR so anywhere close to 3,000 will do me 2022 net sales were 50,878 million ZAR and the 2023 forecast is 31,895 million ZAR, so at 60% of 2022 final = 3,600 ZAR / share (although at the minute it is impossible to say) 1,000 ZAR = circa 41p - subject to 20% holding tax, so will have a wild stab at £1.44 or £1.15 / share post tax | casket1
16/8/2023 11:02 | What do we think the dividend will be before withholding tax.... | sbb1x
15/8/2023 19:05 | Taken from Baron on Twitter#TGA Late tick ups for coal, September Richards Bay pricing to $115.40. Highest levels since April. Newcastle day ahead also over $147 today. Thungela will start getting more attention now | sbb1x
15/8/2023 14:59 | But last year is of little revellence now WE,that's history,if your new to TGA best wait to see next Monday, ask yourself, do you want to own a piece of a well run cash rich coal miner, with some transport issues in SA,whose about to add an Australian mine to the portfolio. | e43
15/8/2023 12:04 | What is the current dividend percentage on Thungela | welsheagle |
