I'm constantly surprised at where the price is, and has been, and probably will be on this one.

Not sure it's impossible to value the downside 'tho. The first signal to look out for in a doom scenario will be the closure of mines in the country imv.

Going all the way to £9.38.......did my own research (or just wildly picked any figure I like since this appear to be the norm on here)

Time to be adding more rather than selling imo but each to their own.

Next support 500p, if it doesn’t hold it’s going back to 3-400p

Went xd weeks ago!

Falling knife now. People selling because they're hurting on this one and are scared how much further it will fall before it levels out.

What seems to be the consensus view of Thungela's dividend yield for 2023 given the current outlook on coal prices? And, what influence will their newly acquired Australian mine have on their income?

A few more days of these price movements and it will be time to buy more! This is either wildly overvalued, or wildly undervalued. This price can't possibly be right.

Suspect it is a result of automatic dividend re-allocation back into TGA shares

Some investors don't take the divi but have this converted to shares at the point of payment to increase their holding without paying for commissions.... think charge from interactive investor is £1

Expecting 22/09 divi at 213p

Racing towards that 500p predicted target lol

Who knows, from this morning's price action, the market may be pricing in the next dividend as well... rather than that recently "signalled" 500p?

"People who held for the dividend were clearly wrong to do so."

Pardon?
My arithmetic says holding, to sell post ex-dividend at, say, 770 or 740 was profitable or break-even from pre-ex 885 in a tax wrapper.

However, "500" isn't necessarily random; as can be seen as next support for a break below current price on the chart.

Then again, selling out at around 500 would have yielded close to 80% return in about a year. Not bad, not bad!

As the saying goes "It all depends..." and "traders" are there to induce fear, or optimism, in weak holders. Will they bite?

Then perhaps you would care to illuminate us to your calculation of 500p

I might as well say this is going to 1000p

Lets start with how much the company is valued at and go from there.....
