05/10/2022 09:54 | I thought they just did a Wage Deal (RNS of 20/09)? Or is this someone else wanting to keep up with inflation, 1viky? | sogoesit

22/9/2022 21:33 | Thanks, I was thinking the Newcastle coal price applies here too. Nevertheless we are looking at 290 for H2. Hopefully higher than 3 dividend. I got in on the ex dividend day so I will to lower my entry price by buying the dip. Here is a recommendation from Morgan Stanleyhttps://www.m | 1viky
22/9/2022 20:59 | Hey JakNife ... isn't that all far too stressful and worrysome? There will be a perfect time to sell TGA. You will 100% not manage to find it. Better to buy and hold ... at a lifestyle level, for sure. This stock is going to deliver big lumps of cash to investors for several years to come (my dividends after tax are already over 80% of my initial investment in TGA ... and that cash flow is not going to dry up any too soon.) TGA is a gift that will keep on giving for a few years yet and I am just happy to profit from that without worrying (eyes "like a hawk") all the time about whether I am timing every buy-sell decision just perfectly. I think it pays to chill a little. | saltraider
22/9/2022 19:51 | Jak Interested to know if you have a bottom value that would trigger you selling?.Currently I believe it's around $294. | disc0dave45
22/9/2022 18:07 | 1VikyHaven't looked, but forecasts are varied for price of coal, could be dropping to $280 some say, nobody knows. | disc0dave45
22/9/2022 17:37 | South African coal is not priced over $400 a ton. | robizm
22/9/2022 14:53 | I have sold my Glen at a profit and bought TGA as TGA is a pure coal play and H2 as well as 2023 coal price will be in the 400 based on coal futures. | 1viky
22/9/2022 13:18 | Realized coal price in H1 is 248 . H2 price should be in the 400. Huge profits in H2 inthink. Any views | 1viky
22/9/2022 11:07 | There was plenty of opportunity to exceed the 240p net dividend. I'm sure I wasn't the only one that gained (albeit marginally when deducting trading costs), but the max was a potential 405p/share (on yesterdays high and this mornings low), that's an extra 69% profit over the net divi of 240p. A significant window of opportunity even if you didn't catch the high/low. So yes lucky, but it was always on the cards and IMO well worth taking the chance. | disc0dave45
22/9/2022 10:54 | I would guess that zero people nailed those figures so there is no point quoting them. My quick calc was generally people could have sold out at 1830 and bought back at 1610 making 220p. I didn't sell as thought the action today was anyone's guess. I was also caught out by the 600->1100 rise having sold a lot in the 500's. How about buying on the 25th and selling after everyone reinvests the dividends? (perhaps I should have overloaded first thing this morning with a view to selling at the end of the month LOL) | planit2
22/9/2022 09:42 | High yesterday was 1932, open 1590 so could have made 342p/share if timed right, which I didn't but still gained rather than taking divi and paying the tax. | disc0dave45
22/9/2022 09:36 | Yeh, opened £2.50 lower, at £15.90, but climbing back up as we speak, now £16.30 to buy. Still think it will be down on the day, as I suspect a few investors to have already sold, but I don't see it lower than the £2.40 divi, especially given the buy / sells ratio at the minute Time will tell, happy to see it back over £17..... | casket1
22/9/2022 09:22 | Made 250p/share, so marginally up (10p/share) by selling yesterday and buying back this morning. Could have been better if buy order caught bottom this morning but it didn't!. | disc0dave45
22/9/2022 09:01 | Well so far looks like the ones who held through exdiv are the winners! | spawny100 |
