billionarebob what does his trade that didn't work have to do with where the price is now? Why bring a wrong but irrelevant trade as an argument? An argument to what? What is the point that you are trying to make? That someone out there had a trade that didn't work? You've brought this up several times now. The argument I'll make is that he sold, you held - price is now much lower than his selling price. Who is the loser then?

Considering we are at an all time low, by definition you would have bought at a much higher price. So you are laughing at someone who was in the sinkhole and got out while you're still in it and sinking at an ever increasing rate.

Rather than laugh at the ones that got out, figure out what you'll do. You don't want to be like sentiment sensei sanks and the likes. You don't hear from them anymore, became victims to the sands, they are gone (RIP). Don't follow their fate.

Jelly, Didn't you buy at 2.30 and sell at the last all-time low? Have you got any thg shares left? Maybe you could sell a few more. Every time you sell the share price goes up every time you buy we go down :)

The results won't offer support, the economic noise won't offer support and many of the mainstream papers seem to think boring negative articles on THG make interesting reading. The only thing you could see giving a slight boost would be an mbo, but imagine the outrage that would create and rightly so. So you suspect until we see visibility of macro economics this is going to drift lower and get caned if there are any market tantrums

More pain today, FTSE futures down 0.7%.

Any commercial product based company will be hit over the next quarter.

JPM now at 215, unfortunately this will need some catalyst to recover. Some good quarters or margin improvement. Inflation issues not helping

LSE BBSurely this now has to be a buy?Tue 20:52Surely this has to be a buy at these levels? - Market Cap of x1 year sales for an International growth business? Missing guidance by such a small amount due to currency fluctuations, isn't ideal, but it's not terminal, especIally during these times. Current inflationary headwinds have impacted everyone and nobody is immune to those (actually THG is better protected than most), plus we are still very much in the pandemic in economic terms. Sales growth of 38% YOY is impressive and the ability to improve margins via further investment (& with current headwinds subsiding) will only improve EBITDA. FCF looks good. I haven't looked at any projections, but In 2-3 years EBITDA could be as much as £500m. With this potential, plus the fact they are going global rapidly, I can see private equity interest too. Just my thoughts for what they're worth..

Agree, although not sure Ft would appreciate being tagged a tabloid lol

Part of this approach is down to syndication, i.e. a news agency gets hold of a piece written by a hack then touts it around with a headline.

This is why you have the Telegraph, Guardian and Times all running the same article with a different journalist, no one admits these are syndicated items.

Its all to do with cost cutting and online trends, Daily Mail format is hugely popular along with their money section, having more sway than the former put together.

It won’t be long before we see ‘Investors are outraged, THG used the same wallpaper in both their board room and reception area’..

Not many here have said much about THG vs Shopify...shopify being about 70 times larger in market cap at least. It is a "winner takes all" business which is worrying for Ingenuity. Even though THG claim it has been in development for close to 20 years, it still has tiny revenues.
