So the 16th is an assumption and not guaranteed.

After a very positive end to the year based on interest rates projected to come down in Spring, I would think the shorts were hoping for larger than expected non-farm payrolls and slightly increased inflation and Santa gave them both their wishes. I would think the plan was to take the share price down as much as possible today following the inflation reading.

I am hoping the short attack has not been based on any leaked news regarding the fourth quarter results and that Matt can deliver on the very positive forward looking assessment at the third quarter presentation.
