18/11/2021 09:42 | A RNS at 7am would have been interesting, but MM looks like he might make a decent chess player. Mr Numis: “Hello Mr THG. We have now completed our review of matters and can see that we might have acted a little testily here following the IPO and, especially, when trying to follow Mr Gallemore’s explanation in the recent presentation of how revenue is distributed. What? No, no; we were certainly not put off by Mr Gallemore looking and sounding more like a Citeh fan called Bertie on a euro away trip telling you what he does and trying to hook you into various ‘free’ stuff. Not in the slightest. So we have recalibrated the numbers and now arrive at a much, much healthier target price of ‘XXXX’. Can we now put this deeply sinister – sorry, deeply embarrassing episode behind us and be bessie mates? Smashing.” | ![]() mcmather
18/11/2021 09:31 | Expert View: THG, Experian, SSE, Watkin Jones and McColl's By Michelle McGagh 17 Nov, 2021 Our daily roundup of analyst and fund manager commentary on shares. BMO: Ignore the noise around THG BMO UK High Income (BHI) fund manager Philip Webster believes concerns around THG (THG) are mostly ‘noise’ and says he remains ‘comfortable The manager used his £129m investment trust’s latest factsheet to address worries about THG, formerly known as The Hut Group, which saw its shares spiral after an unconvincing capital markets day last month. The shares, which were up 1% at 182p on Wednesday, have plummeted 77.5% in the year to date. However, Webster said although ‘some of the accusations are valid, most of it is noise’. The manager said: ‘I can always be wrong but as Warren Buffett famously said: “The stock market is a device for transferring money from the impatient to the patient”. ‘Quality businesses don’t get cheap that often and, when they do, it’s because there are issues. We need to work out whether these issues are structural or cyclical.’ He believes tech plays like THG are now ‘exceptionally cheap’. ‘Let’s judge them over a relevant time period of three years and not three months as the market is currently doing,’ he said. | ![]() pauliewonder

18/11/2021 09:16 | Volume is looking better, what has been achieved here is Numis have given THG the opening to demand the share activity formally be investigated due to admission of misleading defamatory statements by Numis. All it takes now is for a couple of major shorters to get nervous and this creates buy side demand so add pressure with shorters squeeze. Otherwise shorters say sod you city regulators. If it falls further so be it but hopefully a trading update early Dec (like last year) will be positive. | ![]() merrick1965

18/11/2021 08:06 | bob, all they appear to have been after is a nice little storage area to put the products they were using on a daily basis away at night; like putting the toys back in the pen at night in a nursery. They could just as easily have used an image of a creche!!! | ![]() mcmather
18/11/2021 08:05 | No RNS is this company bothered you ask to ask yourself . Down again you would have fought but would start to recover . | ![]() goforgold1
18/11/2021 07:51 | We all buy shares and accept they may go down but if they do in most cases if the company involved has good fundamentals and prospects some of the share price fall will recover. But in this case it has been manipulated down then any recovery in share price is further manipulated there has in no way been a level playing field here thanks to Numis and others. Email your MP with details of Numis shenanigans here do not let up. We should organise a protest in a couple of weeks outside Numis offices to keep up the pressure so they realise this is not okay to manipulate prices. | ![]() highfive1

18/11/2021 05:45 | People close to the situation said it was likely that THG had instructed lawyers to contact Numis in light of the original email and the subsequent amendments. The issue is potentially embarrassing for Numis, which was part of a large syndicate which helped to float THG last year with a £4.5bn valuation.People familiar with the situation say that Numis did not receive a proportion of the discretionary fees awarded to bankers in relation to the IPO, which one source said was because THG executives were unhappy with the work undertaken by the bank.THG subsequently appointed Barclays, Citi Jefferies as its corporate brokers. One source said Numis executives and THG's management had "fallen out" over the float. | ![]() leoneobull
