Looking at the chart, you could get a H&S which means you need the right shoulder up at 370 and then a drop to 330. 338 to 370 looks good to me. |
Damn, couldn't get in before the close. ASDA results is just ASDA. If they want to price cut I don't think its going to do them much good. Sainsbury prices are awful but they have a captive middle class.
Roll on Monday, fill yer boots. |
A struggling Asda is good news for strong TSCO. Too many folks panic selling out, without giving their brains time to think..
TSCO market share over 28% now, whilst Asda continues to fall
The weak get weaker and the strong get stronger... |
Chart support looks to be around 320p .
Can't believe it will get anywhere near that. But who'd have thought it would lose 10% today ? |
discounters show the strain first BME took a hit a few weeks ago poundland wanting out of uk asda is a basket case ocado up 5-6% due to chair buying yesterday - that has to fall monday |
Absolute buying opportunity. Its no secret ASDA has been a disaster zone since it was taken over and loaded up with debt. Management team know getting to grips with their costs with falling market share and poor IT rollout.
Nothing has changed for Tesco. We all knew about the NI increases and Tesco will push up prices as required. Also has been gaining market share above 27% of total market. |
In auction? |
Could be a buying opportunity I guess. |
Thanks Trickyred. |
Definitely a reaction. Sector based news always affect competition. |
Asda is a basket case. Too much debt, can't "invest in reducing prices". Losing market share to German discounters.
It should be in the rest of the supermarkets interest if they have to cut SKUs, jobs etc
Remainder should pick up more market share.
Traders using Asda poor trading situation to shake the tree? |
Asda scaring the market |
I don't know but could be purely that the DOW has shot up...job numbers good possibly? Then they can go away from 'safer' stocks into something else perhaps?
Sentiment has been boosted after Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer announced late Thursday that he would support the Republican-crafted stopgap funding bill to prevent a government shutdown, despite reservations within his party. |
What's happened here, and SBRY , in the last couple of hours ?? |

Tesco to axe popular Clubcard feature next week
The changes will take effect from 7 March |
Yeah I share those thoughts too and would risk a small top up around there.
I think a crack at 400 is coming and the recent pause in the share price growth isn't anything of major concern in my opinion.
Good luck all 👍🏻 |
