My guess is, another cull of the sub standard management. Middle to upper middle, is where I would focus. DL, is doing it.

I suspect that Tesco's job cutting programme will involve Alison Horner
Chief People Officer Tesco... who was Chair of the Carillion Remuneration Committee that awarded the unforgivable amounts of money to the Directors of that failed organisation... Need we worry ?

Exclusive: Hot on the heels of Tesco yesterday, "thousands" of roles at Sainsbury's are now at risk after it launched a store "reset" drive

That's a helluva long consultation period nathdani. Whether these are compulsory or non-compulsory, Tesco would have to carry out 'collective consultation’ as they are making 20 or more employees redundant within any 90-day period. I suspect the consultation period has just started given Tesco confirmed 1700 jobs were 'at risk', with 900 new roles being created.

So nathdani how did you find out about this six months ago if Tesco only made the announcement yesterday?

Sainsbury's and its large supermarket rivals are likely to deliver "zero growth" in 2018, warned Credit Suisse as it downgraded the orange-liveried grocer to a 'neutral' rating.

The Swiss bank, which cut its target price on Sainsbury's to 275p from 295p and moved it off its former 'outperform' rating.

"Despite the market pricing in hopes of a turnaround in 2018, we expect meagre share-price returns for the major grocers as our latest data do not support a materially better outlook, with food volume growth effectively zero," analysts said.

It has/had teething troubles with children moving stuff about :-) , I don't think they'll be able to stop that or the grown up vandals who would do it for fun or spite.
