Britain’s grocers are braced this week for the a provisional decision from competition watchdogs on Tesco’s £3.7bn takeover of the cash and carry giant Booker. The Competition and Markets authority is expected to unveil the findings of a five-month investigation of Tesco chief executive Dave Lewis’s controversial expansion bid.

There's a good article in the times about the big four. Sounds like the US hedge funds are bearish on the retail supermarkets, which we'll see reflected in short tracker, but not a £100 million position against tesco as the fund has gotten around the uk disclosure rules by routing a company positioned in the Cayman Islands.

My Nat West Bank in whetstone didn’t get that memo,they closed in September & the Santander branch on the same high road,I only used it for holiday euros so can’t blame them, no worries,just glad to see Tesco move off 1:86p

The old £1 coin thing is a non issue as you can still take them into the bank and they will exchange them or add them to your bank account. Another thing the media has blown out of proportion.
