The new CEO came on board in October and the new Commercial Director in November. The pace should start to really pick up now.

It's up on the DA events page and they've posted it on LinkedIn and Twitter about 40 times. Not sure they're being secretive about it.

3. IoT Becomes a Target
The world is more interconnected than ever, thanks to the “Internet of Things” or IoT. Smart devices have ushered in a whole new world of entertainment and education and have changed the way companies do business. Our connected world makes communication easier but also more vulnerable.

The inherent nature of IoT means that SecOps teams can never fully get a handle on the security capabilities of connected third party devices. It is difficult enough to apply security patches to the company’s own mobile devices.

Hackers have become adept at accessing corporate networks through unsecured IoT devices to install malware. Anti-virus software creator Kaspersky reported that as many as 100 million IoT attacks happened throughout the world in 2019.

Cybersecurity trend analysts at FireEye predicted more attacks like the Reaper attack, where hackers exploited vulnerabilities in IoT devices to install malware. FireEye warned that these bad actors can enlist millions of compromised IoT devices to drive large-scale attacks, including DDoS attacks that can take down entire websites.

Have the BOD even told it's shareholders about this forthcoming huge and very important webinar?

You'd think they would want to keep us interested in such events, at the very least, let alone the wider market!

They only seem to want to do the minimum work - just not interested in the shareholders' interests.

Unbelievable.

Just had a quick look at Brighttalk again. A minor gripe I might have had earlier was that they hadn't attracted one of the 2 biggest systems integrators. Well fear no more.

Accenture with annual revenues of $42 billion are now attending.
Barclays Bank with annual revenues of $28 billion and Telefonica with revenues of $55 billion are the other 2 big additions.

I think the rate at which people are signing up to this webinar suggests that there is a major marketing drive by Entrust and nCipher to sell a solution that is ready and fills a gap in the market that has not been adequately addressed by others.

Could be heading to 500 attendees. Our next best was about 200 attendees

Agreed Mike
What did Tyrano1 say.. 400 attendees.. that's incredible. Shows the power in the cybersecurity market of nCipher (and, who knows, of the chaps at Microsoft Azure [Olivier Bloch (1930 Twitter followers) - the IoT man on the Channel 9 presentation with DA recently, who could have steered clients this way].

The attendee list for the nCipher DA webinar continues to grow rapidly. We must be approaching 400 attendees already having added about 100 since my update a few days ago. Our previous best was about 200 attendees.

I'll update that post later but this level of attendance is imo being driven by the Sales and Marketing Teams at Entrust and at nCipher and quite possibly Microsoft. We have a wide range of the largest enterprises on the planet in attendance.

I know from my own research that interaction between nCipher Sales and Marketing and Device Authority has exploded since September

Andrbea, indeed.

These people aren't tuning in to the webinar to give themselves a pointer, a steer or an idea.

They want to see a solution.
A 'tick all the boxes' solution.

And if they see it there's a very good chance they'll buy it.

As someone stated the attendees on Tuesday have a combined annual turnover of $ 3 TRILLION.
Don't think the trolls, with their 'much better companies elsewhere' can supply one example of a company giving a webinar with such an attendance.

Wardy wrote that Tuesday's attendees 'won't get the cheque books out immediately'. I don't agree. As someone pointed out last week, the IT Managers at such companies have to change their mindset, no more delaying data trust, as the fines and penalties for non-compliance eg GDPR, Californian IoT law (not to mention ransomware) have (all of a sudden) made data security a priority.

And then there's the medical field, where insurers have a knife at hospital's necks to provide surgery with trained surgeons, ... enter VR. Or surgical robots. Design life 10 years. Need to be hack-proof, all that time, as the capital cost of a machine is so high. Or the simple insulin pump, pacemakers, etc. Or the supply chain in pharmaceticals. Drugs being flown round the world. Where a controlled environment in the cargo hold is paramount, monitored by temperatuire sensors. So IoT is a must ....

And connected cars.. we can't have Iranian hackers causing the on-board computer in a certain car brand (anywhere in the world) to start behaving irrationally, can we ....

These IT Managers have to invest in data trust, pretty damn quick.

If nCipher or Microsoft suggest that they (a tech giant, system integrator or bank) should attend, then they'll soon (and willingly) sign up for a system, without human invervention, for bulk device provisioning, code signing, automated certificate management, .... as not to sign up isn't an option ... if they want to avoid all the nasties listed above, which threaten their jobs, and their brand reputation.

So get the cheque books out immediately ..............

Ridicule want to make a video and the 'tools' here agree. How absolutely pathetic and the most ludicrous idea so far.As if a video is going to do some sort of miracle and get Device Authority customers and contracts. When the webinar is done, DA tweet the Video. Have you seen the number of re-tweets? That's how much attention another video would get. As Tyno has put the list, this latest webinar is their video. With the list, they may get the highest exposure. I highly doubt it will get any serious exposure for TERN. As I have said many times, I highly doubt any serious investor with deep pockets will want to get involved with an AIM listed co.Don't you people get....in the tech industry, there is a simple recipe for success. Customer numbers. Customer can be paying or freely using the product, matters not.DA is failing to get traction. No promotional video by TERN is going to change that. The webinar videos have proved that so far.

In fact Primary Bid using existing shareholders would be able to secure a higher fundraising price through a lower discount level needed to attract takeup

Sorry Ridicule, I misinterpreted your timeline. And Dave, if it is no more costly why on earth have the larger holders not been forceful with the board on fund raising. I would certainly pay my proportion as long as the price was sensible.

Primary Bid use would be no more costly and most IMPORTANTLY allows existing holders to benefit not those for a quick turnover.

Jersey . I agree with the points you make, but I am not advocating corporate action now, just a promotional video to tell the investing community what an opportunity Tern is. If Tern can generate sufficient market enthusiasm for large scale share purchases, the share price rises and the power of their equity improves.

For example, I bought Versarien shares in September 2017 for 14p, they were able to do a Primary Bid raise at £1.43 in Sep 2018 just one year later. They moved the share £1.29p in just 12 months, used a very cheap way of raising money through a disruptive company (PB), made a very smart acquisition, Gnanomat, and stashed £5.2m of cash on their balance sheet with a much reduced dilution compared to Sep 17, when it would not have been feasible. Moreover, the Primary Bid route let PIs participate.I am not saying it has all gone smoothly for Versarien since the Primary Bid raise, but I still think it is a Unicorn in the making and there are striking similarities between Versarien and Tern. The big difference is, Versarien promoted their company and Tern doesn’t. A promotional video could be the first step to reverse that, particularly as there is likely to Be increased news flow from the investee companies this year.
