Happydays, that is very interesting.

Battlefield comms would ideally like a self repairing network that utilised every device in theatre and was flexible enough to adjust to an ever changing landscape. Cough. Wyld. Cough.

Plus, they'd need every device to be secured and managed. Cough. DA. Cough.

Can't imagine why Tern tweeted the article. Cough.

Tern tweeting an Internet of Battlefield Things" (IoBT) article

Headquartered in Adelphi, Maryland, the research laboratory has been testing long-range wide-area network (LoRaWAN), the protocol often deployed in smart cities to bring together Internet of Things (IoT) devices and sensors in dense, urban areas.

As reported by GCN, the overall aim is to see if smart city technologies can improve the capabilities of "Internet of Battlefield Things" (IoBT) and military applications where buildings, clustered objects, and walls might otherwise interfere with signals -- and, therefore, operation

The US military should have given duxy a call apparently 5G is all you need - five star muppet that one :)

SW, not necessarily.

Such a development could equally enhance an HSM proposition.

This could very well be functionality one or more of our HSM partners has asked for.

Keyscaler HSM access controller sounds like it could devalue the hsm proposition from the main global HSM providers...

If they round it down to 10 figures don't think many on here will be complaining...

Marky60, if the blue chips need DA for a total solution, and we have the likes of Intel, Thales and Microsoft saying as much by doing the joint webinars, then, rounding error or not, DA is a viable acquisition for a blue chip.

No disrespect to anyone on here but I think it's highly unlikely that a company like Microsoft would be the slightest bit interested in buying DA. To put it as politely as I can DA wouldn't even qualify as a rounding error in Microsoft 's world. That's not to say that DA isn't hugely valuable but I think it would be highly attractive to smaller company. Neustar for instance........ there are loads of potential buyers. And don't rule out an AIM listing either. Then you have the other Tern investments which have great potential in my view.JMHO

Its ironic to me how these big boys are now banging on about how secure IOT as to be having partnered with and doing webinars with DA, ie Tech Mahindra, Intel, Microsoft. They need us guys, its coming.

I've looked back 2 years at the time scales between loans issued to DA. They have been consistently issued every 2/3 months. That is until the last one, which was issued on 11th April, which is almost 5 months. Cash flow improving?

being able to handle iot at scale and control the lifetime of the device is a must as iot starts to roll out past poc stage and 10 devices etc
