02/8/2021 08:29 | Quality company offered on the cheap. Distributors will start to pick up their game now we are coming out of lockdown and those that are looking for solid divis will be drawn here. Good stock for inflationary times too | undervaluedassets
29/7/2021 14:40 | Oh, and I should have added. I would not be surprised to see TEP taken over at this level. The shares appear to be cheap. Salty. | saltaire111
29/7/2021 14:32 | Plasbryn, 40Mb is the mid range service Utility Warehouse provide. You can upgrade to a faster service but it may require a fibre optic connection to your property. Open Reach provide that in our area | estienne
29/7/2021 13:50 | I sold almost all my equity holdings in May (concerned about inflation and I’ve made my money over the last year) but I bought £40k TEP this morning. I think the sell-off is overdone. I think TEP is likely to prove a calm port in a storm, and its dividend looks safe to me. Gas revenues were down a bit last year but all else looks OK to me. Should be nice boring recovery from here on. Salty. | saltaire111
26/7/2021 18:15 | I've been a Utility Warehouse customer for many years and am generally very pleased with the service. But recently I wanted to improve my Broadband speeds and Gigaclear have installed Fibre Optics to the house. I have asked Utility Warehouse if they are happy to use the Gigaclear infrastructure but they say they will only work with Open Reach. How luddite and silly is that? I've written to key people including the Chief Executives Office, but it appears they haven't really thought through the consequences of losing long term advocate customers. So I will end up going with Gigaclear for Broadband (300 Mbps compared to 40 with UW) and possible switch my phone to the much cheaper VOiP Vonage service. U.W. need to get their act together. The world is changing and they will be left behind and lose income and perhaps customers if they can't be more accommodating. | plasybryn
26/7/2021 15:00 | Wholesale gas prices are at record highs. TEP have lots of experience of getting their prices right in this kind of environment. Align this with a cold winter and lots of people looking to make part time income as distributors in dificult times and this should do very well. With the rise in energy prices some of the competition will inevitably go to the wall (esp on the energy front) as they will have got their pricing wrong. All this to Tep's benefit. Historically the shares are cheap now. On balance, therefore, I consider the risk-reward looks decent going forwards. Have nibbled. | undervaluedassets
23/7/2021 13:29 | Current weakness is disappointing, particularly after I recently topped up to hold 1500 shares and qualify for the shareholder discount. But an excellent yield and as a long-term holder I'm sure the shares will recover. | buoycat
23/7/2021 08:20 | This buggar is barely moving these days, just seems to drop a tiny bit each day or flat....strange considering how low it is | laptop15
