18/11/2021 16:03 | O/T Does anyone know of other UK university quoted companies with small number of p/fs like TEK? | maytrees
18/11/2021 15:30 | TEK portfolio is already diversified So I'm OK to have more % in TEK than I might ordinarily | mr.oz
18/11/2021 15:19 | Diversify your portfolio. Sell when the risk reward changes. TEK arguably better RR now so share price will keep going up. I bought at 11p - current MICROSALT® situation aguably makes it a better RR. I think a mistake some people make is buy a high risk share and then sell out early before they have fully benefitted from the risk they took. Easy money now? If MICROSALT® alone comes good what MC? Regardless, as long as you are making money, stick to your style. GLA :o) | greg the grinch
18/11/2021 14:59 | Joe Say - exactly....and whilst it is easy to worry about less gains having taken some off the table, it is more important imo to consider overall risk, and the fact that a Company such as TEK is high risk, therefore exposure should be limited. I sold c. 30% at around 32p.....so if it goes to 50p or whatever of course I could have made more, but then I'd made 200% on that particular purchase, and TEK had become a disproportionate part of my portfolio. Each to their own, but it's too easy to be blinded by potential gains, and forget the risks. | tanners
18/11/2021 14:59 | Your right in that respect if i would have just sat and did nothing i would of made a lot more EDDIE, JLP, CYAN, EUA but i have chosen some right duds too BPC which now is CEG, BOIL, KEFI , NAPSTER you have to diverse your portfolio to account for this and know when to call time on a stock | mick1909
18/11/2021 14:46 | The last two posts illustrate the conflict perfectly Be great to sit and ride the TEK wave but who in their right mind would bet the house on it? | joe say
18/11/2021 13:06 | Cant have all eggs in 1 basket thats ludicrous | mick1909
18/11/2021 13:04 | The problem with selling TEK stock at this stage is the lost opportunity. TEK has the potential to be a much more valuable company. We shouldn’t hype TEK; there is no need to hype the company or share price. The track record is now speaking for its self. Also if you sell your shares to reinvest , where else will you find a company with lots of potential upsides? I can’t think of many. | danmart2
18/11/2021 12:44 | Im a big fan of Leferve: Here are nine surprising things Jesse Livermore said regarding excessive trading: 1. “Money is made by sitting, not trading.” 2. “It takes time to make money.” 3. “It was never my thinking that made the big money for me, it always was sitting.” 4. “Nobody can catch all the fluctuations.” 5. “The desire for constant action irrespective of underlying conditions is responsible for many losses in Wall Street even among the professionals, who feel that they must take home some money everyday, as though they were working for regular wages.” 6. “Buy right, sit tight.” 7. “Men who can both be right and sit tight are uncommon.” 8. “Don’t give me timing, give me time.” and finally, the most important thing: 9. “There is a time for all things, but I didn’t know it. And that is precisely what beats so many men in Wall Street who are very far from being in the main sucker class. There is the plain fool, who does the wrong thing at all times everywhere, but there is the Wall Street fool, who thinks he must trade all the time. Not many can always have adequate reasons for buying and selling stocks daily – or sufficient knowledge to make his play an intelligent play.” | greg the grinch
18/11/2021 12:26 | A strategy thats working for me is when a share makes me 100% i take half off the table and try and find another share which will do the same | mick1909
18/11/2021 10:35 | Good luck to the profit takers but the longer term for me. I hope any take over is also longer term. | maytrees
18/11/2021 09:06 | Busting those highs - GLA - TEK is a keeper | givmesunshine
18/11/2021 08:56 | My point being Procter and Gamble themselves have selected MicroSalt as a much needed new innovative product Procter and Gamble being the company that makes Pringles and owned by Kelloggs Various packaged dry cereals/cereal products use/contain salt The FDA have mentioned cereals in connection with chips ( crisps) as being a food item that has been guided for sodium reduction Procter and Gamble also based their award to MicroSalt based upon the product have good Market Potential That Salarius ( MicroSalt) had organized the new company into a sound financial Business Model possessing good team strength Lastly but imo the most important that the product and new company were set to make significant Social and Environmental Impact -------------------- So having done all of the above And knowing Walmart is now stocking and selling SaltMe chips made by MicroSalt and using the MicroSalt product which has the same salty taste but with 50% LESS SODIUM CONTENT ! Original Better For You Potato Chips - walmart.com www.walmart.com/ip/O SaltMe. Report incorrect product information. Earn 5% cash back on Walmart.com. Learn how. Products you may also like. Sponsored. Customer reviews & ratings. 5 out of 5 stars (1 review) 5 stars 1; 4 stars 0; 3 stars 0; 2 stars 0; 1 star 0; See all reviews. 5 out of 5 stars review. 10/12/2021. Low-sodium, high-flavor. Delicious and low sodium alternative to regular chips! Feel better about this ... Brand: Saltme Availability: In stock Is it reasonable to assume that Procter and Gamble management might now present a case to HQ Kelloggs for them to consider using it on their cereal packaged products as well as on Pringles by buying the company ? dyor imo | buywell3
18/11/2021 08:40 | Good morning The share price is now presumably beginning to reflect your point buywell- record high currently. | maytrees
17/11/2021 21:23 | I concur buywell Salarius will be what I thought Guident would be | mr.oz
17/11/2021 21:11 | buywell likes making predictions --- so here is another Following the recent top gold star award from Procter and Gamble ( the manufacturers of Pringles ) for MicroSalt announced this week MICROSALT® SELECTED BY PROCTER & GAMBLE'S CATAPULT TEAM AS THE #1 GLOBAL STARTUP LED BY P&G ALUMNI IN 2021 There was a 5 pillar criteria for selecting the winner of this award from 74 entrants from 5 continents 1) Product, 2) Market Potential, 3) Financial Business Model, 4) Team Strength, 5) Social and Environmental Impact Salarius(MicroSalt) will imho now be acquired by Kelloggs via a trade sale by the end of this year Food companies are now coming under renewed pressure to use less salt after the U.S. FDA regulator spelled out long-awaited guidelines aimed at reducing sodium levels in dozens of foods including condiments, cereals, french fries and potato chips. Kelloggs own the Pringles brand acquired in 2012 The price achieved will be driven higher after the December announcement concerning Walmart ==================== Over the next couple of years the FDA’s recently announced intermediate target for odium reduction in foods are to cut average intake by 12% ie from 3400 to 3000 mg a day. However that would still leave average intake above the FDA recommended limit of 2300 mg a day for people over the age of fourteen The FDA have stated that it will now monitor industry progress and keep issuing updated targets to bring levels closer to their recommended daily. ==================== To date it has been FDA Guidance and sodium consumption in America has not reduced Over 50% of Americans now suffer from High Blood Pressure Obesity levels in Americans are now over 44% and sodium consumption has been shown to cause obesity in various clinical studies With Health costs spiraling higher and higher due to excess sodium consumption one can only see mandatory actions coming if the food industry does not quickly get its own house in order First mover advantage wins methinks dyor imo | buywell3
17/11/2021 17:26 | Agree! Attempting to guess the possible value of private companies is close to impossible-but even applying quite modest values to 2 out of the 3, always knowing that one, however promising, could go pop, suggest that TEK shares are modestly rated, particularly with the obvious huge potential for BELL to become a very seriously valuable company. If, by great fortune, all 4 portfolio companies succeed to IPO or successfully trade sale, the share price should be several multiples of today's level. | tarrant77
17/11/2021 16:01 | Lucyd PR increasing | retirementfund
17/11/2021 12:05 | I also have a lot of confidence in TEK management - the way they have handled the investments and recent placing proceeds is really going to enhance SHV | givmesunshine
17/11/2021 12:00 | b man It's so hard to put a value on any of these other the Bell - which in itself will be huge - I've bought some of them directly now also Sal - where do you start ? That blue sky but nothing big as yet - one RNS away from a shift change Guideant - no idea - this has to come down to the trust we have in TEK ability to scour IP for the best forerunner - again could be worth many multiples of TEK spLucyd - This is a bit more tangible - but for me this is the one least likely to set the world alight as barriers and competition is high - but this doesn't mean it couldn't go one to be hugeAll good and well diversified | givmesunshine
16/11/2021 16:57 | FWIW a 50p share price at this point in time wouldn't be unreasonable the sum of the parts is fairly close to this. If you want to role this forward 12 months and 24 month £1 and £2 isn't unrealistic. Salarius, Lucyd and Guident each have a fair chance of being $100m+ companies and there are potentially blue sky numbers way above those numbers. Even Bellasura investment has a good chance of being worth $50m+ to TEK. What also has to be considered and must not be underestimated is TEK will have likely other companies to come in to the portfolio, there unique relationship with over 2500 Universities always remains unvalued when everyone values TEK it is just the 4 Companies they hold. Vryb must be close? AIMHO GLA BTG | btgman
16/11/2021 16:25 | Must be a take over target now, US firms will be taking note. I hope a bid doesn't come in, too soon. 50p target sale price for me. | breakconvention
16/11/2021 08:57 | Something is going to happen with Salrius soon IMO .. too many pointers in the right direction. | givmesunshine
16/11/2021 08:50 | Good morning Interest in TEK again so far this morning after another RNS today. | maytrees
16/11/2021 07:15 | This will catapult Salarius into the BIG league imo MICROSALT® SELECTED BY PROCTER & GAMBLE'S CATAPULT TEAM AS THE #1 GLOBAL STARTUP LED BY P&G ALUMNI IN 2021 There was a 5 pillar criteria for selecting the winner of this award from 74 entrants from 5 continents 1) Product, 2) Market Potential, 3) Financial Business Model, 4) Team Strength, 5) Social and Environmental Impact Congrats to CEO Victor Hugo Manzanilla and the MicroSalt team for a great job well done from buywell PS One would imagine Procter and Gamble themselves will now use this product wouldn't one Especially as walmart is now selling SaltMe chips made by MicroSalt using this world beating ingredient | buywell2 |
