Posted at 11/5/2023 11:38 by kalai1 TBC Bank Group posted Q1 2023 results this morning, confirming ongoing robust profitability with Q1 2023 net profit reaching GEL 255 million, up by 14% YoY, with ROE up to 25.2%. Operating profit amounted to GEL 532 million, up by 29% YoY, driven by strong income generation across the board. The impressive performance was supported by a widening net interest margin (NIM) which stood at 6.4% in Q1, up by 0.8 pp YoY. The bank remains solid, as of 31 March 2022, the CET1, Tier 1, and Total Capital ratios per the new IFRS methodology stood at 17.7%, 20.1% and 22.2%, respectively, and remained comfortably above minimum regulatory requirements. Valuation remains attractive with forward PE ratio at 4.0x and dividend yield over 8%. The main potential risk looks ot be at a macro level and from potential currency fluctuations, but the Georgian economy and public finances look pretty solid too. The share has growth, profitability, solid b/s, attraactive valuation and strong positive momentum. BUY......WealthOracle |
Posted at 16/2/2023 08:58 by flyfisher The superb results at regional competitor BGEO seem to have gone unnoticed here.I would expect similar results at TBCG next week. |
Posted at 22/11/2022 20:06 by flyfisher They have a big quantity to sell, that would take weeks in the normal market and probably depress the price significantly. So their broker phones around existing holders and any potential new parties to place the block in one fell swoop off market via an accelerated book building, generally at a discount to current market price. |
Posted at 01/6/2021 23:48 by ball deap Directors sell, the share price rise, what is going on? It's like a signal to say buy ? This looks to be following BGEO in its trajectory. |

Posted at 12/12/2020 03:27 by cordwainer Upgraded to Ba2 from Ba3 by Moody's. Paraphrasing their definitions:Obligations rated Ba are judged to be speculative and are subject to substantial credit risk. The '2' puts TBCG into the mid-range ranking of that category. www.moodys.com/Pages |
Posted at 21/2/2020 10:31 by linton5 Criminal what they do to this stocks share price it just plain annoys me just look at bgeo share chart a bank in the same country as I keep saying great results once again and goes no where on a similar chart.jeez if results were bad like most British banks this would be toast n marmalade job, this should be at £16 minimum 🤔 |
Posted at 03/1/2020 03:48 by cordwainer BGEO's Return on Equity jumped from 22.9% at Q2 to 26.8% at Q3 update 7th Nov 2019 , albeit equal to Q3 2018. TBCG's Q3 ROE was 20.4%. But I suspect BGEO excludes higher one-off costs than TBCG.. it's not that easy to see at a glance, one-offs totals are buried in the details and notes rather than in the (adjusted) financial highlights. And of course some one-offs might be more or less 'one-off' than others. |
Posted at 14/11/2019 10:34 by jjstim Standard results day, 18% growth YOY and the share price drops. Lets see what's said at 2pm on the conference call and if there's a comeback on the share price a little |
