Article about the bank (more like building soc) of mum and dad. Not particularly optimistic, but a reality (apparently).

Yes, better to be optimistically realistic about pessimism.

Realism without optimism is the quickest way to depression & failure.

Refers to a fictional character presenting an article on optimism.

Realistic optimism might be more relevant here...;)

tlobs2. That would have been my guess, but IMO it isn't the optimism in itself that extends life, but in the drive it gives to get up at a sensible time, make the most of each day and engage in both exercise and mental stimulation and recognition of need for a healthy diet.

Converslely, posters with negative karma will find life less fulfilling and die sooner.

up10 (which I very much doubt doubt) all you have posted so far to date on this thread is negative garbage.

You have added nothing of value and as a result you are now added to the list of ham shankers on my filtered list.

People moaning about others investing stratergies has nothing to do with them, try finding a better stock in the Ftse 100 that pays this sort of dividend with sound fundamentals, before people pipe up they can't afford to pay the dividend, most of it is a special Divi of which is paid at the management discretion who feel it's not going to have an adverse effect on cash flow.

Ftir10/ up10 one & the same your a bit like that chapy in charge of the bank.of England who can not get a f--king thing write you know the one I mean? The one thats always got egg on his face with his useless scare stories & predictions that never come true. My calculations doubt I would have reached my target any sooner, future earnings go up & down in all companies, in the last few recessions tw have continued selling houses & will do long in to the future,My strategy has worked every time for me except once or twice in the last 37 years & as they say if it ain't broke why fix it. My investment in tw is a small part of my cash, property, land & business interest so it doesn't matter how long, it takes,I am not waiting for it to hopefully recover it will recover, but as I have said before we have talked about this last year haven't we ????. If I'm wrong which I very much doubt but if they drop they will recover in time. The way you talk you would think that tw were just going to stop selling houses over night ,down turns & recessions do not effect everyone, people will still be buying houses. TW have an exceptional management team it's about time you gave them some credit because they deserve plenty. I must admit I like all of your concern & attention you give me but you don't have to I can look after my own investments thanks & if I couldn't I would have given up years ago. I HAVE A STRATAGEY THAT WORKS FOR ME ,GET USE TO IT ! ( if your jealous I am quite happy to mentor you for a fee say £40 an hour ?)
