I assume these are down as there might be a shortfall in money for social housing. Imho this effects a very small number of the total housing market & will probably increase the need for private houses & berkely boss selling doesn't help.

I've hit the bank button. I've kept 10% and might top up again given the chance.

It's been one hell of a ride up from my post Brexit punt at 112.7p on 27th June last year!

Good luck to all remaining holders.

Might be worth taking the 2 day course then. They earn good money don't they?

I own a small sign company and we supply housing developers and recent orders requested are for "bricklayers required, apply within" tells a story!!

Well I keep seeing these programmes on the box where pack and stack houses are chucked up in a few days with barely a tradesman in sight with plumbing and wiring pre-installed. Granted design choice is limited but where there's a will there's a way!

The land isn't the problem its the planning and more importantly the trades and material supplies

Give them the land and they'll build, don't worry about that!

I think most house builders will struggle to up the build rate only so many trades to go round .If the top 4 upped there rate by 10% it would only mean an extra 8-9 thousand who will build the other 130-140 thousand per annum. Cloud cuckoo land I'm afraid.

But...but...housebuilders don't want to increase the rate at which they build more houses.

Tories now want to build more house, labour always wants to build even more houses, house builders are winners whoever is in power.

If you look at BKG I can't help but think a share buy back would offer a better return to shareholders than a 8% divi. I guess 220 will have to do.

It looks like we may have finally cracked £2. I'm hoping for £2.20 by Christmas.

Remarkable resilience in the face of May's disastrous conference speech and disastrous Brexit talks yesterday. Ok the Multi Nationsls have been making hay on the trashing of the pound. TW has done well to be at the party too.

Half the foreign aid budget until it's sorted. Most of it is wasted anyhow.

The money boys keeping the lid on the sp, there's no interest in holding for some, until the next divi date approaches.

Let's hope that we can stabilise at 200p + for a few days. Last time we were up here it didn't last for long.
