22/7/2014 09:11 | Brick making struggling due to cut backs in investment during the financial breakdown period.............. | ![]() gbh2
22/7/2014 07:50 | a brick manufacturer on the radio remarking that they could not keep up with demand tells me something | ![]() tipjunkie
21/7/2014 09:19 | Taffee........that's good news for the builders, it means the bubble will not burst keeping the prices within reach of the buyers......I still think the builders are on a major charge for the next two years at least. | ![]() aspers
21/7/2014 08:23 | House prices start to fall Asking prices in Britain have fallen for the first time this year as stricter lending rules, looming interest rate rises, and the distraction of the World Cup cool the rampant housing market. | ![]() taffee
19/7/2014 15:46 | Well said everyone. Just a humble chat room really isn't it.. ..for investors only mind! TW should be good into results at the end of the month...imho. | ![]() nofool
19/7/2014 14:20 | Only a complete numpty would act upon an advfn user comments, I don't believe in ramping or deramping because the critical mass of trades are institutionally controlled via computers and those at the keyboards are not likely to be on here looking for advice! | ![]() gbh2
19/7/2014 13:23 | @nofool Yes we've all had good trades and bad trades that the nature of the stock market For instance game group did collapse, however before it collapsed it went from 50-70p to the stratosphere luckily I had some of that...it's all about timing Is now the time to be in property stocks or stocks in general.....me thinks no | ![]() taffee
19/7/2014 13:04 | If you had bought TW shares when they were low in the current cycle you have made money. Recently they have been been drifting and frustrating compared with say BKG. Indeed I dumped mine -but the same day bought half of them back -so often can one be frustrated and regret being impulsive. The London market may be in consolidation -if the price ripple spreads out and construction improves in other parts of the country maybe patience reqired here. After all pays dividend -indeed a special one and Deutsche have 158p target. Will we see interest rate hikes and mortgage costs to inhibit the likes of TW?.The Bank of England and political opinion not enthusiastic about rate increases. | ![]() 4spiel
19/7/2014 12:04 | SI13, sounds like you are making a fair point doesn't it. (although, what does this mean:- "why would i listed to a person"?) But honestly, I hope you are not STILL at the stage where you listen to ANY recommendations on these free boards, by anyone whatsoever!! ..least of all someone who's obviously ramping or de-ramping. If the mighty Lehman's couldn't get it right; what chance a free bb on ADVFN? With respect. | ![]() nofool
19/7/2014 11:43 | Should make us thankful he's not recommending TW then :-)) | ![]() optomistic
19/7/2014 11:17 | why would i listed to a person who recommended buying game group, hmv and yell all before they went bust. no wonder he is a sour person on yell..... taffee - 27 Aug 2010 - 17:41:47 - 28659 of 74181 bears are complacent imo....nothing goes down like thisa forever...take a look at the chart | ![]() studentinvestor13
19/7/2014 10:57 | Well taffee is maybe a little more battle hardened than some on here. He was trading and commenting right through the banking crisis of 2007/08, whilst some more recent commentators were still at school. He is entitled to share his views built on experience of that kind and I for one welcome free rational speech in this adult forum. Time for some to leave bullying in the playground behind them and learn a trick or two.. Because I wonder who will be left commentating after the next stock market collapse otherwise? taffee is one for sure. | ![]() nofool
18/7/2014 21:21 | The house building sector has always been the most volatile. No point trying to second guess trend by the day here. | valedo
18/7/2014 21:18 | Gbh2, rolled down and all the way back up again! Your as bad as taffee mate | valedo
18/7/2014 16:10 | The weakness of the market sector is based upon perception of what's to come, as a holder I also hope for more but the HFs re not supporting that hope atm imo. | ![]() gbh2
18/7/2014 15:18 | Weak? I've worked in construction for 27yrs and tbh, never seen the new build sector so busy. Why that is and how long it will last is a matter of opinion , help to vote etc , lack of supply, overvaluation -the market never (been allowed) to properly corrected imho. But for now I cant see it slowing down, yet.DbD- Holder of TW. | ![]() death by donut
18/7/2014 14:54 | I think this morning shows just how keen the price is to lose ground, the whole damned sector is so weak that it just rolled over and headed down! | ![]() gbh2
17/7/2014 15:38 | when are the results? | ![]() homeboy35
17/7/2014 10:14 | It's about time we started to see some sort of reaction to run to results imo. | ![]() gbh2
16/7/2014 16:42 | taffee...what an impressive post! next time will you please write it in English. A good day for TW today, this could well be the start of a good upward move. | ![]() optomistic |
