14/7/2011 10:05 | Only a bot sells in 300s lol Black box trading - means they're keeping it down artificially - means it'll spring up, o0nly a matter of time | sir rational
14/7/2011 09:53 | Too much 'hot money' in BSkyB - wait until all the hedgies have dumped their BSkyB shares bought in anticipation of a takeover - they'll "reinvest" elsewhere. I can dream... | imastu pidgitaswell
14/7/2011 09:50 | No volume today as yet. Looks like all the institutional investors are sitting on their hands waiting for the debt crisis to be resolved. There is plenty of money out there waiting to be invested in the market and as we all know the UK market is very cheap. Clearly, someone is sitting over the market trying to suppress TW's share price by giving the impression that there is a lot of stock on offer. This can turn on a sixpence when any sign of buying demand is seen. | aphrodites
14/7/2011 09:48 | lol Slow burn, catchee monkey | sir rational
14/7/2011 09:43 | "clever money" ??? Well after your recent outbursts, if yours is the clever money I'm prepared to go with the numpties on this occasion! | gbh2
14/7/2011 09:40 | providing the FTSE pulls its socks up this will end well blue today. | clarky5150
14/7/2011 09:40 | I'm pretty much at breakeven so only upside from here on. I think the mkt is just very thin and the 'better to travel' guys are exiting whereas the clever money is sitting tight waiting for the inevitable upgrades. Interesting that whilst Pete Redfern openly courted small upgrades with the recent TU - saying that TW. was likely to come in ahead of forecast - the consensus forecast has actually decreased since then (only slightly). The likes of PG have previously said they would upgrade once TM was completed, so I'm expecting consensus forecast to creep up over the next couple of weeks with a concomitant rise in the share price | sir rational
14/7/2011 09:39 | "After nearly 2 years, having bought in low 40s" Sounds like we're in the same boat, I paid 39.09p for my holding, and I don't think its going anywhere fast :{ | gbh2
14/7/2011 09:16 | imastu pidgitaswell, it appears you got in at a peak in the range and have weathered the low points. If you can afford to bottom drawer a portion of these it could add stability to your portfolio should you go chasing the riskier fast gain plays. Just a thought. | clarky5150
14/7/2011 09:12 | After nearly 2 years, having bought in low 40s, so am I... | imastu pidgitaswell
14/7/2011 09:08 | Morning all. This was and is my no1 play for the recovery and i still think the only thing thats holding it back is the volitility and uncertainess of the European and US wider markets. The sale IMHO makes this an even safer bet BUT... This is not a day trader unless you are range trading and have no other distractions. This is a long term recovery play. I still think it is nailed on and has great upside from here. Get a position you are comfortable with, set an exit point, sit back and wait for easy money. IMHO of course | clarky5150

14/7/2011 08:39 | Why absolutely no share price reaction to this good news? | retsius
14/7/2011 08:27 | SR, thanks for the sarcasm. In the absence of any coherent response, I'm really not sure which bit of the announcement is not clear to you. On 31st March they stated: "Base consideration of $955m payable on Completion. The Company will also receive additional proceeds for cash balances in the North American Business as at 31 December 2010 and net capital invested by the Company in the North American Business from 1 January 2011 to Completion" That's three separate components: 1. Base consideration of $955m 2. additional proceeds for cash balances in the North American Business as at 31 December 2010 3. net capital invested by the Company in the North American Business from 1 January 2011 to Completion All of those components can be quantifed, now, and have been included in the quoted $1.2bn. The third item could not be quantified at the time, and therefore was not. They're merely facts, not judgements - what the cash in the business was at 31/12/10, and what has been paid in since. The $955m remains as quoted, the extra $250m represents items 2 and 3 above. 13/7/2011 The total proceeds were US$1.2 billion, including cash balances and additional funds invested into the business Can we just say that you got it wrong and move on? | imastu pidgitaswell
14/7/2011 08:06 | Not trading properly yet, so far my forecast looks 100% prescient | sir rational
14/7/2011 08:03 | Now haven`t you made yourself look very stupid in front of all these people. Sir Rational - 13 Jul'11 - 20:22 - 9032 of 9056 Guys big opportunity here, TW. completed deal today worth +13% to mkt cap but if you buy @ 1 second past 8am (very liquid stock or DMA) you'll get in for nearly all of that 13% | libertine
14/7/2011 08:02 | Unbelievable lol | sir rational |
