Well if it was a pennant, it has closed above it - previous post was based on a quick look and a lazy approach:

Just fallen back to the upper edge of that pennant (if it is there...)

Another 0.5p up before close would be nice.

The refinancing announcement suggested the conditional new bond finance was some way off, and a bit of a worry, but that was already in the bag! So TM contract could be with the buyer for signature!

US home sales good, must have a delay fuse this end.

I would doubt it. I think any breakout on a technical signal would be purely technical. From memory I think the update was worded in a way that would make any news on TM so soon afterwards unlikely but of course you never know.

If it's a pennant, breakout could be imminent - news on TM?

Despite bullish comments from broker Oriel Securities, Taylor Wimpey cheapened 1.38p to 35.89p. The broker recommends TW and is overweight on the housebuilding sector. It believes 2011 will be a more stable year for the UK housing market than 2010. Without the distractions of a General Election and a Comprehensive Spending Review it reckons a sense of normality will return to the market.
